Great selection and friendly knowledgeable staff that go out of their way to help you. They will also reserve beers for you which is a big bonus. This service however comes at a price and they are consistently more expensive than pretty much any place in the area.

It’s small and it’s a dump, but the selection is good. Single bottles of every thing. Staff varies from good to excellent. This was the first place I found non-supermarket craft beer, it’s not as amazing as it was the first time, but still worth the visit.

pretty much a dump, but quite a decent beer selection. you’ll find much better stores in Detroit or Grand Rapids, but this is about as good as it gets in Lansing. organization was iffy at best, but I don’t mind looking through everything. best of all, I didn’t see anything that wasn’t available as a single.

I check out their nice selection a couple times a year when I am on this side of town. Coolers could be better organized, but its not too troubling because I am going to look at every bottle in the store when I am there.

Pretty nice place, just starting going there but am happy with it. I just got Founders Backwoods Bastard from there for a reasonable price and they gave me one of the few that weren’t already spoken for so that made me happy. Also they have a lot of beers that I have not seen anyone else kin the area carry.

Amazing store, huge selection. Ambiance isnt their thing though you are always around other beer and wine lovers. They are always willing to help if you have questions, and are average priced. The only real problem with this store is getting lost in the selection, they have a cooler full of beers for you to choose from with a selection of 6 packs on the shelf, but the shelves dont seem to be organized in any particular manner. If you are in the Lansing area, and love beer or wine, check out Oades.

I wouldn’t exactly say ’ambiance’ is part of Oades’ thing, this is a college town liquor store that carries little else. That said, the shelves are stocked by the bottle and it is easy to get lost in their huge selection. Full packs are also available, as well as a huge selection of 1.5 oz liquor shooters. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they also carry girl scout cookies when they are in-season.

Great place, they have a larger BYO6 area than full 6’s. They even give discounts off the listed price on BYO4 and byo6 packs. A moderate sized area of bombers too.
