| Travlr (637), Washington, Washington DC | | May 20, 2012 Cramped place with beer squeezed into every nook, and cases in the aisles. Great selection, extensive CCB and other regionsl stuff, plus an interesting variety of meads. Definitely worth a look. | | sebletitje (200), Enghien, Belgium | | January 26, 2012 Visited a few times. Looks more like an old gas station turned into a beer shop. Crammed aisles with a very decent beer selection, might even stumble on some hard to find beers. Prices are decent and fair. Good to visit, but a little out of the way to justify driving there from Tampa or anywhere outside Largo. | | fluffy (25), St Petersburg, Florida | | August 14, 2011 look, i know a lot of people dog this place for its appearance and the way things are organized, or not organized. but i as someone who goes hunting around a lot of beer stores in the area, this place is a gem. it has a LOT of beers ive never seen anyplace else. now of course some of these bottle look ancient, but who cares? its nice to see some unique stuff, especially when a lot of places just rotate out the tried and trues and never get anything different. this a fun place to dig around if you have the time. | | markwise (124), North of Tampa, Florida | | July 11, 2011 The ambiance is a lot to get over. It is an old Citgo station that has a ton of beer- floor to ceiling of 2 or 3 isles (where 2 people cannot go down at the same time), plus the cooler. There are some rarities, some vintage beers, some old beers, and some new releases. The problem is that all of the aforementioned beers are pretty much jumbled together with some semblance of order. Many times there will be similar breweries close to each other, and some separation between countries, but don’t go beer hunting unless you have time, and lots of it. They sell proper glasses and have a new release feature near the register, along with probably 5 coolers that are just singles. Prices are competitive to mildly pricey, but if you can’t find it anywhere else- try here. Also, asked the guy at the register a question, and he said he didn’t drink, so he could not help. | Blackdemon (1), Florida does not count - explanation | | September 17, 2010 [ Updated November 12, 2011 ] It’s like a get in get out. Small, not much to look at, cramped in side. I think they sell junk food like chips, jerky, and cookies. But when it comes to collection and service It’s best in Largo. It gets the Job done! | | cheapdark (128), Quiptown & Central Valley, Pennsylvania | | January 22, 2010 Little bottleshop and case store packed with brews. Something for everyone. Location on map is incorrect, but adress is good. Friendly middle east girls is glad to please. Decent prices and good selection of bottles for a mixed 6. Saw many beers there for the first time. Mnay with swingtops. | | HOPSHUNTER (29), Tampa, Florida | | June 6, 2009 [ Updated June 7, 2009 ] Decent selection of beer but thats about it. It’s a converted convenient store with all the charm of a soup kitchen. I never would have set foot in the place if vinerd hadn’t told me there was good beer inside. Service was non-existent, 1 guy stocked the cooler while the woman working the register chatted on the phone the entire time pointing to my total and only stopping to say a quick thank you. Who cares right, they have beer. They did have a pretty decent selection crammed inside and I mean crammed the aisles were so narrow I had to do a wierd sideways bend just to see what was on the bottom shelf. As much as I hate it I’ll be back. | vinerd (4), Orlando, Florida does not count - explanation | | May 15, 2009 Right around the corner from my apartment. Although the staff may not know a lot about beer, the selection is quite nice. Kind of surprised me to see some of the beers I saw. | | Nail (10), Georgia | | May 15, 2009 Shop with care at an odd little store with spotty service. One of the best selections in the area at decent prices. Worth the visit as a curiosity. | | BeerVirgin72 (94), Pickerington, Ohio | | February 21, 2009 Stopped in here on a road trip from Orlando. This little store is quite a find here! Three large rows of individual bottles for sale. LOTS of selection. Six packs as well, and a cooler with a nice selection too. By far, one of the nicest selections of craft beer I have seen in Florida. Very surprising being in the area that it is. We did not buy this visit, just window shopped, but the clerk greeted us upon our arrival. While I did not see anything extremely unusual, there were numerous beers I hadnt tried yet. Prices were slightly above average but not bad. |
