| BlackHaddock (175), , England | | April 3, 2012 Got our hire car at 10.00, was here very soon after! We were heading for Utah and some National Parks, so needed to stock up for our road trip. This store looked the closest to Downtown Vegas, how was I to know how long West Lake Mead Blvd is?
Not knowing what to expect I was pleasantly suprised by the selection, plenty of beers from plenty of different states and a good few from overseas too. We were left alone to amble the isles taking in the sights, this is a big (to me anyway) alcohol store.
I got some New Belgium, Full Sail, Lagunitas and Long Coast stuff and brought home to the UK a couple of Traquair bottles who had lost their way and ended up in the US.
My wife found some funny named wines and we both left happy, her with some wine me with some beers to review after starring at rocks all day at Zion and Bryce Canyons.
| Gil_Simpson (1), Montreal, does not count - explanation | | March 27, 2012 Great variety of beer, wine and liquor . I mainly went for the beer...surprisingly there were some good beers like Carollus covered in dust-what a shame! Had beer from U.S. all the way to Japan, and around the globe! American beer from Stone,Sierra Nevada, most of the west coast breweries but very little from the east-although I did see some Sam Adams. | | lalu (37), Laval, Quebec | | November 6, 2011 Best place i found in Vegas, so far.
Check date and dust on some bottles, i am a bit wary of turnaround...
Nonetheless, great selection and some special editions. | | jrallen34 (207), Chicago, Illinois | | March 31, 2011 I was in Vegas and my gf (god bless her) lost her ID so we went to search out some good beer to drink in the hotel room. Lee’s was about the only place anyone recommended so we set out on an almost $30 cab ride to get there.
The selection was ok, had some belgians and other decent beers on the coast but being from the Midwest I was hoping to cash in on some great West Coast finds. I was licking my lips thinking of some Russian River of Lost Abbey jewels. Sadly, I was disappointed with neither. The guy working there had never even heard of Russian River or Lost Abbey. I did pick up a Black Butte and some Stone IPA but in general very disappointed in there West Coast selection. | | Lubiere (349), Ottawa, Ontario | | February 7, 2011 Very close to Whole Foods Tenaya, this is a very good beer store with a good selection of singles, bombers, better than S. Vegas location. Free tasting on weekends, friendly service, good prices. Free chicken parm when you buy a wine of the week. There’s is the Hanshick Korean Taco place in the parking lot, 2 tacos for 5$,,,good stuff. | | delnoche (18), , Germany | | January 9, 2011 They have a pretty good selection of domestic and import beers. Most selections are available as singles. Staff is friendly and helpful. I found some beers to be a bit pricey. | | vegasadamtya (10), las vegas, Nevada | | October 25, 2010 they seams to be going down hill, every time i go in it looks worse | | djd07 (22), Houston, Texas | | March 30, 2010 Went to the location near Sam’s Town. Amazing selection of bombers and six packs, and a couple of rare beers. Great service all the workers were helpful and they even had a 15% off for 12 bottles or more. Got all three rocheforts here. Definite stop while in Vegas. | | tennisjoel (32), Rochester, Minnesota | | November 10, 2009 Visited the Lake Mead location on my trip to Vegas. Didn’t seem like the best area of town, which is odd since it was close to Summerlin (where we stayed) and that seemed like a more well to do area. Pretty good selection here, although I was hoping to find more Deschutes beers and they didn’t have much of anything interesting from them. Picked up the following: Stone RIS, Alaskan Smoked Porter, Grand Teton Lost Continent IIPA, Lost Coast 8 Ball Stout and Indica IPA, Blue Frog IIPA, Firestone Walkers Reserve, and some Woodchuck Seasonal Cider for my wife. | | hellbilly (130), scottsdale über alles, Arizona | | July 8, 2009 i hit the one on lake mead but they are all pretty much the same. i did see a lee’s discount liquidation store on rainbow but couldn’t stop... intriguing sale booze...
this is the place to go for wine and liquor. they don’t carry a lot of stuff i can’t get in AZ. but they did have really good pricing on most of the belgians (cheaper than i’ve ever seen...anywhere). most of the really bargain stuff was stamped on their cases with dates which were 16 months old!
anyway, when in LV this is the place to go... |
