| gmylonas (10), Alberta | | April 21, 2012 Not bad. The girls are ok. hey, if the girls arent at least ok, why go ? The beer, it was cold and pretty tasty. Not bad guys. | notpmock (1), Lawrence, Kansas does not count - explanation | | April 6, 2012 I have only had one "bad"experience at the store, in which it was close to closing time and the employees were probably just ready to leave, but the experience was still great. Every other visit has been even better due to the knowledgeable staff that helps me navigate this store’s amazing beer selection. I work in a small town where beer is interchange with bud lite, and I have to explain to people what an IPA is so I completely love having three or four hundred choices and a staff to talk beer with. Recently the store has made an expansion which includes a massive freezer for their build your own six packs section.talk about icing on the cake! If you live anywhere near Lawrence and love beer, or want to get into craft beer you have to visit this store. | | beastiefan2k (141), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas | | January 2, 2011 This and On the Rocks are the 2 best stores in town. Large store, lots of singles, and a clearance rack with some treats once in while. Almost everything available in Lawrence will be here. | | hopsessed (10), Kansas | | August 13, 2010 [ Updated September 7, 2010 ] This store is awesome! They have a giant section ( and an actual staff) that is only devoted to beer! Have over 500 beers (not packages, but actual different beers) that are almost all available by the single, or ina byo 6 pk. And they offer a discount on the byo everyday of the week. They have an extremely helpful staff that are willing to go above and beyond to help you out. Kansas is not the most beer friendly state, but this store accommodates. They carry ’bout every beer available in Kansas. Massive wine and spirits selection, too. And the cheapest prices to boot. Just had a great make-over as well, which makes the store look INSANELY better than it used to. Highly recommend. | Grizzle (2), Lawrence, Kansas does not count - explanation | | November 5, 2009 It’s a big store, with a great selection by Kansas standards. Kansas is a little frightened of some alcohols, so distribution of certain beers readily available in KC, MO doesn’t extend an inch into KC, KS. Unfortunately, CnB doesn’t carry everything even available in KS. No Hofbräu? Get serious.
Great staff, willing to help you find whatever they can, and to get you that discount when technically it doesn’t apply, but you’ve earned it anyway. Also, they frequently have great music. Usually, it’s probably someone’s iPod, so BMI and ASCAP would be interested, but I’ve heard great music, and been introduced to some things, too. | oldredbone (6), Kansas does not count - explanation | | October 15, 2009 The store is nice and big. It was pretty easy to find what you need, and if not there are always people willing to help you out. They had an ok selection. |
