| jredmond (111), Manhattan, New York | | February 19, 2012 I used to stop by here on my way home after work. Great selection of craft with a decent selection of singles as well. No complaints here - one of the better Canal’s I’ve been to. | | fbm115 (13), New Jersey | | February 15, 2011 I’ve been to this Canals more then a handful of times. They have a growler station with 4-5 different offerings. Lots of six packs in a wall of coolers. To the opposite are the singles/ 22oz/ 750s on another wall of shelves. Overall decent selection with some random limited release beers. I stop by whenever i pass just to see what’s going on. never go out of my way to go here. | | italianjohn (127), Penndel, Pennsylvania | | December 22, 2010 A huge big box type of liquor store with a long cooler full of single bottles and six packs .... small selection of single bottles that was semi-organized ... lots of US micros and some foreign (fantome, mikkeller, don de ciel) as well as some current releases.... found some sam adams triple bock 1994 there although thats not much to brag about .... all in all the prices were ok and if your looking for some rare finds from micros they have them but super saver in pennington had a much better selection. | | iggynelix (11), Pennsylvania | | October 30, 2009 big-box style shopping; but HUGE variety and knowledgeable staff. optional membership program, and a wine/beer classes and a tasting room bring up the ambiance. | | vtafro (24), Wayne, New Jersey | | September 29, 2009 [ Updated January 28, 2010 ] Large liquor with some great beers, large enough you can usually find stuff many other stores have run out of but rare stuff still goes quickly. | homebrewer302 (6), Wilmington, does not count - explanation | | April 28, 2009 This is definitely above your average liquor store. Prices were reasonable, some were even great deals. Looks like a typical warehouse store. You can buy singles, sixers and cases. My only suggestion is that you bring a second picture ID. The girl behind the counter asked for a second form of picture ID after I gave her a delaware state license. I seriously almost laughed. That has never happened to me before and had I not had my old college ID on me, I don’t know what would have happened. Overall good store and one of the best selections in the immediate area. | TheVikingWL (8), , New Jersey does not count - explanation | | February 17, 2009 HUGE store.. best selection I have seen; however, I haven’t been to that many large beer stores so I have no comparison. | | lemasney (13), Trenton, New Jersey | | June 1, 2008 One of my top three goto places in my area in the North East rt. 1 corridor. Great selection, pretty good prices, and the staff, well, don’t bother them. They’re much more interested in selling wine, but you wouldn’t know it from the beer stock. Great stuff here: Oskar Blues, Victory, Stone, great Divide, DFH, and lots more. Great singles selection. Surpassed only by Canal’s in Burlington, NJ and Circle Liquors Super Saver, Pennington. |
