One of my local pubs. Vast improvement on its old guise. Good rotation of ales on 5 pumps (plus other taps including Meantime Pale Ale always on, and general euro lagers) The 5 pump pulls has a strong leaning to Kent brewers, so will normally find Westerham, Old Dairy Brewery but also some London brewers like Trumans appear) also occasionally other names like Adnams,Fullers will be on. All seem to be in general good condition. Food although pricey is very good (especially Sunday Roast which is advisable to book ahead for) Well worth a visit.

For many moons this was an absolute shit hole that wasn’t refurbished since a least 1832. To be honest I was certain this place was to fall victim to the dreaded property developers once it initially shut down. However a stunning renaissance has taken place here. Late last year this place was refurbished and what an astonishing turnaround. Nicely done up, decent individuals frequenting the place and a real ale return after an absence of 20 years, 5 pumps serving up varying guest ales. If ever you’re in the Lee area I thoroughly recommend you give this place a go. Only downer on this place is that it’s disgustingly expensive!
