A very large beer cafe in the center of Leiden. Nicely furnished, large outdoor seating area with wifi. Selection of Belgian beers is about average for Dutch beer cafes.

Very big place in an section of the old hospital, so the prices are expensive due the big building and the Belgian "special"beers are very common. So cross the street for good seroius brew at the Bonte Koe, or also near de Bierwinkel an very good beershop.

Large café/retaurant in a former hospital in the centre of town. Suited for larger groups. Can be busy and loud in the evenings, quieter during weekdays afternoon. Food is good but the menu hardly ever changes, beer list is not adventurous. Not cheap. Bonte Koe is close by, as is the Bierwinkel.

Very big Belgian theme Biercafé. Big patio backyard. Great selection (of Belgian), best in Leiden. Good service. Rather expensive. Quiet on Monday afternoon. Free Wi-Fi.

A beautiful space with lots of room and a patio out back which is perfect in warm weather. If you have money to spend and you want food and a few good drinks, this is a great place. If you’re looking to taste an excellent variety of beers, this is not the place. Although they have an extensive list, it’s not unique and it’s pretty overpriced. Worth checking out if you’re in Leiden.

Large place, can be very noisy. beer selection only belgian but list is very humdrum. Food is very good. staff has almost knowlegde about the beer they selling

Pretty large and always busy here. It looks great though it can be very noisy. The staff rarely has an idea what they are serving. The limited selection looks to be based on whatever the supplier had rather than taste or specialty (with the odd exception). The food is tasty but the menu never changes and it’s surprisingly expensive. Definately not the perfect place to do some tasting.

good beerpub with a collection of belguim beers the range is almost what everybody nows but somethimes they have a hidden gem.[ask the staff] they change there beerlist every three monhts and heve two taps that change every month. the food is very good and the serve beersnacks based on belgium styles. check it out its near the centre
