A nice spot in Lxington with an open floor plan and an outdoor seating area as well. Service is good, as is the atmosphere and selection (both in-house and guest). No food, but value is great (flights are very reasonable priced). Definitely worth the stop.

Stopped by this place 8-10pm on a Tuesday. My second time in, but just as last time, always a very impressive, creative selection of both house brews and guest brews on tap. Lots of new stuff to try, and 4oz tasters were available. No food in house, but there was an amazingly tasty food truck outside. I got a very satisfying pork taquida (sp?). Place is just one big taphouse with a U shaped bar. Tables, and a bar around the perimeter. Kind of an industrial looking area. Easy parking. Pretty cool, knowledgeable, and accomodating bartender. Cool crowd. Seemed kind of like a mix of locals and after-work button-ups, but they left me to my business, it was relatively chill despite being busy. This place always has some interesting beers on tap, and I appreciate the creativity. Will visit every time Iím in the area.

Visited later evening on a Thursday. Located in a lightly industrial area of Lexington, parking is on the street or in the lots surrounding the brewery. The tasting room is located on the back side of the brewery, and is mostly comprised of bar seating, high tops, and a small shelf bar ringing the outside of the room. There is also a patio located through the taproom. Place was packed, so service was fast and efficient. Very much a regular crowd, everyone was enjoying themselves. 22 beers on tap 12 Country Boy + 10 solid guests. Food truck had a great grilled cheese, and an even greater Archer reference on the tip jar. Certainly recommended.

This is an awesome place. Itís a warehouse, for sure, but features a simple and comfortable layout. They were open already before their posted open time and the bar was already pretty much full of regulars. 24 taps, 17 of which were CB brews during my visit. Flights of 4 are available for various prices and things generally run no more than $2 a sample. Pint and growler prices are also pretty solid. Beers on tap run a wide range of styles, and all 9 I tried were excellent. Bartender was helpful and friendly. No food, but a food truck showed up while I was there (and this on a Tuesday, pretty cool). I may have gone at JUST the right time, but these guys are clearly the best brewery in town, and Iíd wager they could compete on a regional basis. If you have time for just one stop in Lexington, make it here. Iím going back tomorrow.

Updated 2/16/2014. PROS: I donít really know how to describe the atmosphere, except that it feels like home. The taproom isnít going to set any standards for aesthetic pleasure, but itís has a welcoming feel. Service is always fairly quick and knowledgeable. Selection usually includes 1/2 their beers and 1/2 guest taps, all for dirt cheap (tops out at about 5 bucks) and you can get half pints for half price. Iíve had some surprising beers here (Four-year aged Expy for 3.25). CONS: Food truck model, so no in-house food; I donít live here. Is in Lexington, and not in Louisville. OVERALL: The one KY brewery that Iíd want down the street; I love this place. Parking on the street around the building, and in a lot out back.

From the outside, at night, it appears that you are in some wharehouse district, but inside, it is a warm friendly place (even though if you pay attention to the walls, you ARE in a wharehouse. The staff is enthusiastic and attentive, the beer is reasonable (if not outstanding), there isnít any food of note. Worth a stop.

This is the best brewery in Lexington. Located in a warehouse and it has a dim, grungy feel to it. There are 2 large screen TVs behind the bar. You come here for the beer, though. They had about 10 of their own taps, with tasty offerings such as a jalapeno stout, raspberry stout, brown ale with coffee run through a Randall, peach saison, barrel aged brown, etc. All the beers I tried were excellent. Then there are about 10 guest taps with regional offerings including Against the Grain, FFF, Bells, etc. We stayed here several hours because we couldnít leave without trying another beer. Best beer brewed in Lexington, IMO, so it is a must-stop.

Being a brewery it was quite interesting that there were lots of beers from the big breweries on taps. Extremely crowded on Friday night. Food truck just outside.
