Good place where to eat and drink some good ones from Shepherd Neame, the kentish, oldest brewery. The rest of selectio is however a little poor... Good food and good atmosphere, lightly crowded on the week-end.

Visited on 07/06/09 for the first time in about 10 years. A pleasant pub with very friendly service and a choice of five Shepherd Neame cask ales served in decent condition. Appears to cater to the tourist market as the staff were preparing for the arrival of a group of 35 people. Perhaps not a pub to search out, but certainly one of the better ones in the Covent Garden area.

My memory says it was very nice inside. Had to stand at the bar - either too many people or too few seats. My limited notes say "very pleasant". Five real ales on when I was there.

Nearby to the Covent Garden subway station this pub forthwith introduced much wide, essential and very cured. Beers of the Shepherd Neame series with a discreet choice of bottled beers behind the counter. Very big projection screen and small apart tables set on two levels. Calm and little crowded. Pleasant and in typical British style.
