| Leighton (226), London, England | | March 17, 2012 Great little pub. Had a young, hip crowd without pretension when I visited on a Friday evening. Four casks, a handful of interesting kegs and a very good range of bottles (local stuff, Nogne O, American). Medium size pub but felt spacious to me. Good service. Great place. I loved the vibe. | | Scopey (150), Croydon, England | | September 28, 2011 Great stop on the way to the Euston Tap from the Craft Beer Co (good suggestion Cad). Nice Victorian interior, with contemporary features. Keg/Cask/Bottled beer selection is interesting and modern, think along the lines of Harviestoun, Brewdog, Kernel and Camden. Whisky selection also looks interesting. Will definitely return. | | caesar (181), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands | | August 20, 2011 Funny old interior, like you walk into some medieval livingroom. Classy stuff. Small stage with some live music. When I was around some kind of slow folk music was playing. Nice small selection, not a wide range. But I had a Saison, a hardcore IPA and RIS, so that fits my needs on a laidback evening. | | Rune (234), Tromsų, Norway | | March 24, 2011 A hidden gem of a freehouse not far from the Kings Cross station. Only two hand pulled cask ales and a cider, but a lot more to choose from on keg and in bottles, including brews from The Kernel and Camden Town. Promotes a cosy pub feel with a fire place and with one wall covered by mirrors. Run by a beer enthusiast who occasional arranges ale festival at the pub (visited, 19.03.2011). |
