A beautfil old pub in the shadow of the Forth Rail Bridge. The food is a good solid standard, probably better than average. There’s decent ambience though since the site of this pub means that there will always be a long queue of people wanting to dine there, I feel the service possibly feels it doesn’t have to try as hard as other places. They have 3 cask ales as well as the usual mono beers on tap. The fridge selection is a little better than average. I feel the fact that this is owned by a big chain has taken something away from the potential of this pub.
