Against the Grain Public House

This place sits right in the baseball stadium. Well, the door is on the outside--you don't need to buy a ticket to the game to have beer. Flights available. About half their taplist is stuff that is available everywhere in cans, and the other half new stuff I hadn't seen before. Service ok. Picnic table seating outside. I had a birria hamburger, which sounded better than it was. Not for the birria so much as the dry, overcooked frozen burger.

Solid spot in downtown L-Ville. Typical grungy bar with some spacious outdoor seating. About 10 taps plus a bottle shop. Food is generally BBQ/pub food and solid. Reasonably kid friendly. Beer quality is above average.

Cool place located NEXT to the ballpark, not inside. I originally had not planned on visiting, but when passing realized you could access it from the outside. Good vibe, really cool to see the brewery on the upper floors from where the bar was. Only ate some appetizers, but they were good. Looks like there's an outside area.

Varied beer styles all we tried well made. Knowledgeable staff. Not a lot of food options but it was wonderful. Homemade bbq and sides like greens and beans. Definitely worth a visit. In the baseball park do plan accordingly.

Located in the baseball stadium in the east end, and relatively close to at least 4 other micros. Huge patio outside, and decent sized dining room, specializing in BBQ. Excellent beers, 2$ per sample, good service, excellent food.

Cool spot attached to the minor league ballpark in Louisville, large expanse of a space with lots of seating. Service was solid, on top of it even though it was busy, knew enough about the beers to get by but by no means knowledgeable. Selection was great, varied styles and all were well done, plus bottles if the draught doesn't suit your fancy. Food is good, new school BBQ, with a few veg options too. Definitely worth a stop, as they pretty much brought craft beer to Lousiville.

Big modern place in downtown Louisville. Service was okay, they get bonus points for giving a homeless guy a free meal. Food was good. Only ATG beers, I wish they had some of their better ones. Definitely worth a stop.

Large brewpub with overall good beers. Had a few here in the middle of the day, helpful girl in the bar.
