We werenít in town specifically for the release, but turned out when we visited was the day Bo & Luke was on tap and out in bottles, so it was pretty crowded, despite being a rainy day in Kentucky.

Pretty decent sized brewpub in a brick building right by (maybe even attached to?) the ballpark. Pretty open layout with high ceilings. Nice sized bar along with a long, communal high top table and a good amount of normal table/dining seating.

Lots of beers on tap during our visit. They do flights as well as full pours. The beers were kind of disappointing for the most part, unfortunately. I guess I sort of expected that as Iíve never been a huge fan of their stuff. Oh well.

The food, however, was pretty good. I just shared the pretzels with my friend and both the pretzel and the sauces were great. My buddy got a pulled pork sandwich which looked great (and he approved).

Other than the beer, only real knock on the place was the service. The front of house staff was fine, but our waitress kind of...unfriendly towards us.

All that said, you can still get some decent beers here and itís a cool place to hang out.

Ambiance score is for the beer garden. Service was below average (I was out of water a couple times). The brisket sandwich was pretty good. Pricing for the beer and food was good. I would go back.

Interior is large, and patio has plenty of space. Just be careful if you visit on a night when there is a ball game, as it could be full of sports fans. Beers range from OK to very good. Food is better than bar average. Waitstaff are helpful and alert, made me feel welcome. A brewery worth a visit if you live in Louisville, or are visiting for a fair length of time.

Ambiance is pretty nice; a good sized space with fermentation vessels visible through the glass behind the bar, nice sized bar area, etc. some TVs if you are wishing to watch the game. Service is always pretty solid, I never get a "deer in the headlights" server who is completely clueless, and often they will refer questions to brewers, of which there always seems to be one present.Their beer selection included six of their own beers; there is a vast array offered here, and they change often; guest taps are also available, and hard to predict- some regional, some imported. The food can be excellent here- Iíve had some wonderful meals here (even the coleslaw is metal); I recommend anything smoked, especially any pork item. The value here is great- 6 3-4 oz. pours of their beers for seven dollars; full pours in the 4-6 dollar range. I consider ATG my local, and it never disappoints. Street parking is free after 6 p.m. (I believe, just read the meter). During the baseball season, the parking lot by the stadium is under guard supervision, and a no-go for parking (parking there is fine in the off-season). I can always find parking under the overpass leading up to the place, or just a little further back- itís never more than a five minute walk to the front door. Since youíre already in the area, check out Louisville Beer Store just a few blocks over on E Market St. You could probably walk there, but you should be able to find free parking in the area if you are driving.

***Updated 4/20/15: Went back for the first time in well over a year (got a little burnt out for awhile), and was somewhat disappointed. Though the joint was pretty busy when me and a friend stopped by, my main complaint is with the quality of the beer I had tonight, and also the generally diminished quality I have found in some of their beers when trying them at other local establishments: Iíve given more sub 3.0 scores to AtG beer over the last year than in my first two plus years drinking their beer combined. Out of the four beers I drank or sampled the other evening, I could only bring myself to rate one above a three. I think AtG usually shines on their hoppier offerings, but the ones Iíve tried (on tap) recently have been remarkably tame. However, recent bottles of Citra Ass Down and Rico Sauvin have remained excellent, which makes me wonder if the guys are focusing more on their bottle production these days. I hope they find the balance between production brewery and brewpub that will help them to continue their success. Not that thereís much competition, but AtG is still the best brewery in town, and should still be your first Louisville brewery visit. Food is still quite delicious, though I miss the smoked coleslaw.

Great location on the edge of NuLu and Downtown attached to the Louisville Bats stadium. Food was amazing and priced fairly. Great smoked theme going on. Staff was super friendly and helpful both times Iíve been. The beer selection was pretty fair with the tasting set being a real value. The atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming. A really nice place to have a beer in the afternoon in Louisville or for dinner.

I was really looking forward to this visit. Kind of a brew-pub feel with a "wait to be seated" sign out front. Extremely attentive and knowledgable staff. Tasting flights are fixed to the six "regular" styles (the beers themselves change often). But you can get tasters of any of the specials for $1.50 each as well. Loving the smell in the place; a true smokehouse. Food was solid if not exceptional. Beers were, honestly, a bit disappointing overall, but not bad. Definitely worth the visit. Its worth noting that they had a good number of bourbons at their full bar, as well as at least 8 beer bottles for onsite or offsite consumption.

I was kind of surprise to find this attached to the local ballpark. Someone has some good investors. Iíd had some AtG beers in the bottle and while not put off wasnít really that impressed. But this cavernous space and location is impressive enough! On our very brief visit, I was at first put off by the bartenderís complete disinterest in taking care of us. Instead he washed glasses and chatted up a young hottie at the other end of the bar. But when he finally did attend to us, he did so in proper fashion. We could only sample one pint, but it was quite good. Compiled with their interesting collaborations, interesting (but sometimes gross) names and labels, I can see this being the Louisville staple. Iíll be back. Brewery #688.

Stop 2 of my Louisville brewery tour. Had the sampler and it was very good. Food was also very good.
