| Boesky (35), Galesburg, Illinois | | April 10, 2012 Small-ish venue in an older neighborhood. Has a ’locals’ feel to it. Beer selection was limited, but the beers were decent. Didn’t try the food, nor was any served during our visit. | | badlizard (109), San Diego, California | | December 18, 2011 A well laid out bar space and a fun place to drink. The selection of their beers is pretty good with a lot of bourbon barrel aged stuff on tap (be sure to ask - they don’t always post on the board the bba selections) and more offerings in bottles. The food is generally really good and the service is decent. Worth a visit. | | LilBeerDoctor (185), East Setauket, New York | | November 10, 2011 A small brewpub in downtown Louisville (although not the best part of downtown). They only had 3 beers on tap when I was there (pale ale, brown ale, and something else, can’t remember), which was a little disappointing, consider they make so many beers (and the pale and brown are regulars anyway). Oh well. I don’t think they had food. Small old-school TVs on the walls with sports on. As mentioned, lots of beer memorabilia around the place. If I recall, there is also an area with couches next to the bar. Good pricing ($3/pint I think). Not a bad stop, but bear in mind that the selection is quite limited. | NeoHippie2 (8), Louisville, Kentucky does not count - explanation | | October 17, 2011 This is a solid place to go for a taste of what BBC offers. Friendly and fast service and a good atmosphere. One of my favorite things about this place is on Tuesday evenings you can get a growler filled here with any BBC beer they have available for $5.75 and yes that does include the Jefferson’s Reserve Bourbon Barrel Stout that is around $12 normally for a 4 pack. So the value here is huge. Great beer destination.
| | weihenweizen (63), Charleston Area, West Virginia | | September 18, 2011 Downstairs from Main Street. Nice decor, but a slightly sour smell. Good prompt service and nice conversation about the style and quality of their brews. I had the sampler and it was reasonably priced. | BeerBuzzed (7), Louisville, Kentucky does not count - explanation | | January 3, 2011 BBC’s great beer with no frills - they don’t serve food but you can order takeout/ delivery. This place has good beer, good service, good people, nice place - lots of fun. always worth a visit. Beer geeks would enjoy this place even though selection is BBC-only. | | Tmoney99 (331), Cincinnati, Ohio | | December 29, 2010 The tap room at the BBC brewery is on the corner with street parking in the front and side. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The inside is small with the bar on back wall, beer memorabilia lines the walls of the tap room. The beer selection is good. Specials pint prices every day. Enjoyed the visit and will return. | | tmongoose (41), Louisville, Kentucky | | December 18, 2010 been to this location several times over the years. small quirky place with an at home feel. the bartenders a friendly and know what they are serving. the beers here are better than the other 2 locations in town but then its my opinion only. as far as food goes its bring your own. they have some menus of places that will deliver. tuesdays and thursday are great deal days there. the apa and the bourbon barrel stout are 2 of my favorites just ask them. | | cranked (19), Kentucky | | July 23, 2010 The Tap Room at the BBC brewery is a great place to go. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance inside is great, beer memorabilia lines the inside of the tap room, including old bottles of Louisville brands from when dinosaurs still roamed the earth. The BBC beer is good, I actually like the beer at the Tap Room better than the beer that comes out of St. Mathews. For value you can’t beat this place. Everything is very well priced and specials run through the week. |
