Overview: Another neighborhood bottle shop that Iíve never really bothered to visit before this evening. Liquor World appears to be a chain of sorts, though I think this is the only Louisville location. Itís pretty much a small, dingy bottle shop with stained carpet in terms of ambiance. Purely and unapologetically utilitarian. I didnít ask for any service on my first visit (thus my rating there is a fair placeholder), but may be coming back, becauseÖ the selection here is surprisingly good. Yeah, thereís the typical stuff from all the bigger macros, but they do actually carry a good amount of Prairie, Stillwater, Against the Grain and other bottles you donít see in every store in town, along with about 25-30 other thoughtful selections. Things seemed to be priced about .50 cents higher than in other stores. PROS: Surprising selection. CONS: Kinda ugly, slightly high prices. OVERALL: A better than average (for Louisville) neighborhood bottle shop. If I lived in the area, Iíd be pretty happy splitting time between here and Greenhaus for my home drinking needs. Nothing worth going out of the way for otherwise. There is a small parking lot on site, but thereís ample street parking in the area. Itís on a one way street, so check your GPS or map carefully before driving here. Close, but not quite on, Eastern Parkway.

For a store that doesnít concentrate on beer, they have a wonderful selection. Itís primarily a Spirit shop but have many reach-in coolers with American Crafts and singles. They also have a warm beer shelf for an expanded selection. Plus the staff has on two separate occasion ordered me 1/6 barrel of great beer or a full case of something they didnít carry. As an everyday sort of place it is great!

Went in there expecting a decent selection of Kentucky beers, but left with one from Indiana. Unoriginal selection. Better than the Walgreens nearby.

For a nice little neighborhood liquor store, itís not too bad. Itís got a decent selection of some interesting craft beers, but thereís not a huge selection. The craft beers it does have tend to be fairly common and found in a lot of places.
