58 Nice place but very common beers. The staff and costumers are OK because it seems to be a good neighborhood bar. But don't go there for craft beers. |
54 Wow, overrate much? I’m sorry, but having 10 taps of the most common Belgian exports and one rotating craft tap barely warrants a listing, let alone at 90+. It’s 2017, not 1997! The bottle selection is OK but too expensive. Only redeeming quality is that it is open during the day, which along with the location makes it a good place to start a crawl. Otherwise not worth the walk. |
84 The road is Austerlitz, the area is Croix-Rousse. An high-ceilinged bar in light wood and tall stools, up in the boondocks not too far from Croix-Rousse metro. Likely the best beer selection in Lyon for now, with maybe a dozen new French – though all with the usual pricing issues, accruing largely to the astonishing rates put on catering establishments in this country. No attempts to reduce heat on the hottest June day in Lyon in decades. |
76 @Croix-Rousse. The bar was full. I found a small place at the counter of the bar. Belgian classic beers on tap... No really good geek surprise on tap. Mostly belgian beers on the beer menue ; but I found a few interesting US, UK and North Europ bottles. Ok friendly service. I tasted 2 beers To Ol Eurodancer and a Wild Beer Bibble. Nice. Worth the visit. |
74 Decent Belgian beer bar in what appeared to be the Belgian quarter of Lyon. While the tap selection included plenty of uninspired offerings, there were a few gems. I had tasty pours of Saison DuPont Dry Hopping and Taras Boulba at reasonable prices. The bottle selection is small but solid. A few beers from Brew Fist, BrewDog and De Molen were available. Very few French beers were on offer, unfortunately. The food menu was limited to charcuterie and cheese plates. Wifi was available. Overall, this wouldn’t be the top of my list of recommendations in Lyon. However, it’s a decent shout if you’re in the mood for common Belgian beer in a comfortable setting. |
84 Very nice cozy bar at a nice area of the city. 12 taps of mostly Belgian beers and around 40 bottles mostly Belgians again but also some Brewdogs, De Molens, a couple of US beers, etc. Very nice ambiance, very good service. Prices are OK for the beers on tap. We didnt try the fingerfood. I would visit it again. |
