On the window it said 550 beers. But the beerlist on the table only mentioned about 60. After inquiry at the bar I was informed that the owner just didnít have the time to update the beerlist all the time. So just go to the bar and ask what they have or even better what style youíre looking for. He mentioned to surprise me twice with a beer I never heard of! One of them being excellent by the way. The atmosphere is something else. Entering the bar youíll have to suppress your feeling to leave again. White bright light, a completely empty bar looking like just a huge lump of wood, plastic gnomes and mushrooms in the window. The place was pretty full bud sadly enough only beer-tourists and expats.

Great bar with an amazing selection of all kinds of unknown beers. Owner really has a passion for his product. You can tell him what kinds of beer you like, after which he descends into his cellar for a while, to return with a great microbrew youíve never heard of before. Prices are really good as well.

Stopped in for a beer midafternoon. Kind of small, charming old place with lots of character. Great service from the bartender. Nice mix of Belgium, American and German beers with a few others thrown it. Prices were great on draft beers and they had some decent bottle prices on most offerings. Very cool place, Iíd go back in a heartbeat.

Went there on the evening of Eurovision Song Festival, nice atmosphere indeed. Nice interior, corrent service. Was not impressed by the beer menu though - all the specialties were apparently already spoken for...

This is the Diamond in Maastricht! A cosy house room look-a-like bar. Small,
Friendly, neat, cosy and feeling at home. Some taps but talk to Peter and experience his beautiful cellar on your palate. Lovely place with at peace service, some tuna patť on toast and fitting glasses with every beer. This is the must visit place for every beer geek visiting Maastricht. Even if they donít have something you havenít had, which I seriously doubt, the atmosphere, friendlyness and good beers they serve, will make it somewhat of an unforgetable night. I am sure that those who are not into beer as much as we are (here on Ratebeer) will still have a tasty night and leave with a smile! Will be definitely re visiting this place!

Great bar in Maastricht. Nice beer menu, but do ask for specials. LOTS of Struise in stock, the owner is familiair with one of the brewers. Current stock includes Black Damnation II, III, IV, Cuvee Delphine, Black Albert, Shark Pants, Kabert, Pannepot / reserva, and lots more (excuse me for being a struise maniac). Lots of other great stuff (American / Dutch / Belgium craft) and the prices are good. Thereís plenty of stuff to eat, from hot and cold snacks up to simple meals, for reasonable prices. The menu comes in 4 languages, Dutch, English, German and French. The owner is very very nice, and is always willing to have a chat and helps you with making a choise. Which is sometimes hard because there is so much in stock, around 500 bottles (and 8 on tap). thereís room for only about 30 people inside, and around 20 outside. Youíve got a view on the Maas river. The only minus for me are the opening hours, it closes quite early (in the weekends 00:00, on week days 20:00 / 22:00). So before youíd make a trip, call them to be sure.

The top beer bar in Maastricht by far. Located right on the river, itís a small traditional bar with a great selection and lovely owners. The beer menu just gives a taster of whatís available before you chat to the owner who pulls out something special and surprising from behind the scenes. There was no problem getting a seat on a Saterday evening. The snack menu looked pretty good though I didnít eat there myself. Thereís hardly any point going to other bars here, Frappe is the best!
