| Thure (10), , Denmark | | March 27, 2012 Super interesting beers and a fitting atmosphere to go with them! Very nice and generous tasting flight. Very friendly and knowledgeble staff. | skootur (5), does not count - explanation | | March 4, 2012 Great place if you love hops. Hop vines outside as you enter should tell you all you need to know. Regular brews are some of my favorites and seasonals are really good as well.
Food is a good value and is very good pub fare. | | dionysus (10), Arizona | | February 2, 2012 Nice, comfortable with a helpful/friendly staff. Not a massive food selection, but still quality creations. Had the turkey, muenster, pepper sandwich and it was delicious. I highly recommend taking the tour which was lead by one of the extremely knowledgeable brewers. I can’t wait to see what they are capable of once they move to the new, larger location in the fall. | | hombrepalo (100), Chicago, Illinois | | January 4, 2012 Stopped by New Years Eve around 8pm after dinner. The place is away from all the action in downtown Madison and near a Airport in an industrial section. The ambience was dead abouth 20 people in there. A pool table some tables a lounge area and the bar area with windows revealing the brewery. I ordered the sampler which consisted of 6oz of their 10 beers on tap, some of which I already had (would have prefered if I could have picked out the 5-6 that I wanted). Most of the beers were average, turned out the better ones I had already had in the past. Overall just an average stop for me. | | savnac (155), Anchorage, Alaska | | December 29, 2011 Very cool place located in a commercial area. Interior is nice and clean, not huge, I could see it getting packed in there. Service is pretty much sell ordering at the bar, but they brought out the sampler to us. They had a couple of food items but we didn’t eat. Value on the beer was excellent considering the quality. This place is a must stop if you are in the Madison area. | | smoosh (32), New Albany, Indiana | | December 27, 2011 Visited on a recent trip to a Wisconsin football game to do the Jump Around! It took a while to find the place, but once we did I was very glad! They had a house beer sampler with about 10 different beers. It kind of stalled in the middle of the road brews - too many amber colored and malty sweet beers for my palate. But we had a pizza and a BBQ sandwich that were quite good. Cool place! | | kbutler1 (65), Minnesota | | November 28, 2011 Stopped in on a recent trip while coming back from MI. Sort of off the beaten path but that was ok as there was a WI football game going on and the downtown area was packed. Nice little bar and tables as you first walk in and tables off to the right as well. Friendly staff. Food menu is small but the soup, pizza, and sandwich we got was pretty good. Ended up grabbing a few beers as well. Overall, a cool bar that I would stop in again at. | | alagnak (48), Littleton, Colorado | | October 26, 2011 In a what seems to be small-brewery standard industrial park on the East side. Tasting room/dining area is really nice, Ale Asylum labels/stickers/posters cover alomst evey square inch of several walls. Nice "woody/Modern" look. Beers were all excellent, food choices looked very good and pretty expansive, though we just threw darts and drank. Definitely a good stop in madison if you’re out on the East side, and worth a side trip even if youre not. | | theisti (273), Leawood, Kansas | | October 4, 2011 Visited with a group of friends mid-afternoon on a Friday (before a La Bamba hajj). Located in a very non-nondescript business park, I was pleasantly surprised to see a well designed interior tasting room with plenty of bar space, and tables through out. The place was billed as a deli, though the menu included pizzas and a variety of other options. I believe they had 8 of their beers on when I visited. The service was friendly, and really handled our group well. Great place to throw some darts and have some crazy fresh beer. There was something about this place that really reminded me of Black Raven in Seattle. | | BVery (227), Burnsville, Minnesota | | September 5, 2011 I love this place - best brewpub stop on this Wisconsin tour I’m on! Cool chill vibe in here, beer bar + small restaurant. Pizza available, plus flights of their wonderful beer (7 oz size samplers - trying all 9 is a test!). Beers consistently had great body/palate and monster foamy heads. Bought a hoodie sweatshirt here too. |
