Amazing selection of Wisconsin beers - great place to support local breweries but also find lots of other beers!

Stopped to get a burger for lunch New years Eve. Located right across the street from the capital a old school look with a long bar and a couple of separated rooms. I was in there for brunch at 12:30 and found out it ended at noon (way too early to stop brunch). Saw a massive bilbord above the bar with a list of 50 taps, all from Wisconsin and a note at the bottom OVER 150 beers from Wisconsin served. WOW! did not expect this place to be this good. Service was decent. Selection was great, lots of beers I had not even heard of and they even had a bourbon imperial stout by Central Waters. The burgers were pretty damn good but the fries were over salted. Overall a great place for an out of stater to stop by.

50 taps of Wisconsin beers, a lot of which you probably couldn’t find without going to the specific breweries/brew pubs. Nice ambiance, right on the capitol. Great cheese curs and food. Decent service and prices.

Only stopped by briefly when we realized it was Karaoke night. Cute place, lots of taps. Belgian Red in bottles, so big plus there. Quite crowded for a Thursday night in the summer, pre-college returners. Worth a trip.

Everything is from Wisconsin, which is a nice touch (though I’ll freely admit Michigan beers are better). I’m not sure exactly how many taps or bottles they had, but it was quite a few, and it was a good variety from many different breweries and brewpubs across the state. I didn’t eat here, but the menu looked interesting.

Good beer selection. Hard to judge service because I went in the night of the GTMW. Food was really good as well.

Very busy bar downtown, had a great selection of Wisconsin beers. Probably the busiest place I went to in Madison. Long bar and not a lot of room, but glad I went and would visit again.

Great mixed drinks. Really gives you a feel for Wisconsin. The food is very authentic to the area. always pretty busy. Alot of fun to drink at.

Thanks to Pepsican for the recommendation. Nice bar, with awesome hamburgers, directly across the street from the state capitol building. The place was a bit crowded, for those of you folks that prefer tables, but a lonely traveler like myself, we sit at the bar. The service was spot-on. The hamburger beef was local, and was fucking delicious. The draft selection is pretty amazing. They said they had 20 drafts, but I’m quite sure that I counted close to 30. The bottle selection was fairly nice, considering that they didn’t even mention it, at all. If you’re in Madison, and you don’t get here, do yourself a favor and go. The place has a nice crowd, and again, the food is quite good. Oh, I forgot to mention one thing -- the draft list is composed of local beers.

Loved the Wisconsin based food menu. Nice beer selection. Very good burger. Prices were as expected based on restaurant location.
