| deigote (10), Madrid, Spain | | May 24, 2012 A Madrid must. They used to have a nice but static beer list, but lately they have started to bring more innovative good stuff - spanish and USA craft beers, Sam Smith’s... They also have good weekday offers and events (new brew launchs, etc).
The weekend gets crowded and noisy, and the food just fills the belly, but is not very good. | | Luu777 (12), California | | May 16, 2012 The only place I really found that carried a wide selection of Spanish Artesenal beers. They had about 15 in bottles, and some excellent examples of the growing craft industry in Spain. If you want to try some stuff out of the ordinary, this is the place. | | Lowenbrau (65), , Spain | | April 20, 2012 Good selection, great food. Recently focusing on craft beers. A must in Madrid. | | Arve_Christian (68), Oslo, Norway | | April 9, 2012 Very nice selection of beer!
Especially the 20-30 spanish micros.
Also good selection of Samuel Smith & Anchor + Plenty of Belgium beers- + lots of regular beer
Attentive vaiters, but they needed to be stopped before topping of the glass ( as we tried from several glasses.
I would eat somewhere else | | PauSax (14), Ademuz, València., | | January 17, 2012 Muy buena selección de cervezas, algunas de EEUU, de lo mejor en Madrid. | | teddybeer (29), Madrid, Spain | | September 21, 2011 One of the best places where anyone can drink a good beer with an excellent food. They have about 200 different beers. | | Brian2d (10), , Spain | | May 23, 2010 BTW Camden D thanks for posting this place, I wouldn’t have found it otherwise. I agree: given Spain’s lack of beer culture, this is a great pub. Good atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly service, and appropriate glassware. I had to get a Flying Dog, I was surprised they had it. Also, they have a good selection of Anchor Steam beers. Quite a few Belgian beers on tap also. Will try the food next time, those big plates of wurst looked great. | | CamdenD (26), Madrid, Spain | | May 12, 2010 This gets a much higher rating due to the RELATIVE to the area selection. This is the only place I’ve found in Madrid that sells American craft beer. For whatever reason right now they’ve got about 12 Flying Dog beers (bottle), as well as Titan and Hercules IPA. An IPA in Spain? Yes, it’s possible now. Their selection of British beer is also decent, mostly made up of ales you can find rather easily in GB, but not in Spain, i.e. more than Bass. it’s a fun bar; the staff will understand what beer you want but that’s about it. The area around this bar has quite a few other decent beer bars -- a near beer oasis in Madrid. The famous Cerveceria Oldenburg is about 2 minutes walk away. |
