Great beer selection. Plenty of imports, especially Belgians, to choose from. A lot of the standard stuff but they always have something new when I visit. Looks like they have about 300-400 beers in stock. 18 cooler doors and a large walk-in for cases. 2 employees asked if I needed help, I declined.

I stopped here last night after a Boston Bruins game. The selection was much beer then I thought it was going to be. Nice imports to include a wide selection of local micros. I wouldn’t relay on asking any of he staff for help. If you know your looking for something local, good chance hey will have it. I picked up Ipswich and Clown Shoes. They also had had some Goose Island and Founders. Along with a nice amount of 22oz. bombers bottles.

Visited November 11 2009. A huge store with a few rows of beer, decent Belgian selection, eurolagers, some Brit, very nice US micro selection (although nothing really outstanding), singles can be bought. Service was rather unimpressive, with old ladies mending the cash. This was conveniently situated 5 minutes walk from my hotel (Courtyard Marriott on Rt 1), so great if you are needing ot buy some beers for a trip. Thye provided the box with divider and plastic green bottle protectors, and with some newspaper, and voila, ready for check in. This location is more in Revere/Saugus.

I’m rating the one on Route 1 north in Malden . The selection is great for the area, Some good micro’s, Belgian’s and there alchohol selection in general is great. I wish the Rochefort 10 was in stock a little more frequently. Not to much help in selecting your beers, but the people at the registar are very friendly.

There are three Kappy’s in Malden. The one listed is the largest, but I always considered it in Revere since it’s practically sitting on the town line. Very good beer selection.

Until finding Colonial Spirts, this was my number one go-to store for top tier beers in MA. Lots of Stone, Midnight Sun, tons upon tons of micros and some pretty interesting macros. Probably the best thing about Kappys is that they usually will have beers from a brewer that no one else has. For example, they had, for a time, Mammoth Stout by Midnight Sun. They do this with alot of local brewers as well. Very extensive selection of Belgians as well, though lacking in lambics. If you want to check this place out, do it soon because every time I go there (every month or so) the beer selection is cut more and more. Not half the place is was 2 years ago.
