Thoor84 (8), , Iceland does not count - explanation | | May 8, 2012 pretty nice place. Specially if its a good weather and you can sit outside. most of the beers are marble beers, however the most interesting marble beers are warm and just to buy and take home. they have some good belgian beers.. like orval, saison dupont, catillon and more.. | | lambic (16), Newton Poppleford, England | | May 2, 2012 A great pub just a short walk up from Shudhill tram stop, amazing tiled floor that slopes down to the bar where there is always a great range of Marble beers on. Good food and one of the best selections of cheese I’ve seen for a long time to complement the fantastic beer! | | Boudicca (205), London, England | | April 9, 2012 A wonderful pub, the flagship of the Marble Brewery and a must visit place for both the building and the beers.
I’m a big fan of Marble beers. They make some really excellent stuff on a par with the best and, in keeping with this, they have a fantastic brewpub to serve it in. The Marble Arch is a short walk out of town in the wasteland around Rochdale Road but it’s well worth a visit and shouldn’t be missed. Inside, the pub is tiled from floor to ceiling (including the ceiling) in golden coloured glazed brick and there’s a lovely frieze with a grape and vine motif intertwined with words proclaiming the wares of yesteryear - gin, rum, wines, brandies, whiskies, ale, porter and cordials.
It can get rather crowded but can be forgiven this (and you can always decant to the less picturesque room at the back, which may be quieter). Overall, they get a lot right here – about eleven taps, including a couple of guests, excellent gourmet food to go with it (although it’s by no means predominantly an eating place) and good service.
(Last visited 20 January 2012). | | deanso (103), the Hague, Netherlands | | April 8, 2012 Nice busy place. Lots of charachter and atmosphere. Good selection of Marble beers on handpump and decent selection of bottles beers from other breweries. | | Benjii (61), Edinburgh, Scotland | | January 22, 2012 Excellent must see pub in Manchester. A large range of Marble beers on cask and a couple of guests. Also nice selection of 75cl special edition bottles, etc. Food was very tasty, the staff know their stuff and the brewery is excellent! Highly recommended. | | superflyguy (19), Leeds, England | | December 2, 2011 fabulous, a feast for the senses!
the interior has huge vaulted ceilings with a tiled mosaic running around walls and floor. functional furniture. brilliant atmosphere and the beer is cracking! loads of choice all great and plenty to take home.
maybe slightly on the pricey side, but probably worth it.
go and go now! | | rosenbergh (275), Helsinki, Finland | | July 19, 2011 Looks very nice, like a sample of English Inn. Mainly Marble ales in cask + some visiting brews. Good selection. Biergarten quite simple looking. Quite pleasant place. | | cgarvieuk (96), Edinburgh , Scotland | | July 17, 2011 [ Updated December 14, 2011 ] What a wonderful Place this is, Its always great to find a place that brews there own beer, but when the beer is as good as Marble is, all the better. But this pub is so much more than just a brewery tap. Its a stunning building, great selection, of Marble and other beers, great service and all round great place | mrgraybags (5), bacup, England does not count - explanation | | June 5, 2011 great little pub but its a little on the pricey side..but none the less the beer is always top notch...always busy on food and its nice to see this pub always thriving | | NarkeBoy22 (28), , England | | May 27, 2011 Brilliant pub, a real class act. Great beers from Marble but also other breweries on cask and keg. Really lovely traditional pub, very attractive and great atmosphere. |
