| BVery (227), Burnsville, Minnesota | | December 8, 2011 Tremendous store - stopped in on Dec. 8, 2011 for the Beer Geek Christmas party. Tons and tons of beers, and a lot of harder to find beers. Lots of 12 oz beers available in singles, which is always nice. Smaller shop, but terrific selection. Good glassware available as well. | | ryanfolty (104), Minneapolis, Minnesota | | December 8, 2011 [ Updated January 17, 2012 ] Stopped in for Beer Geek Christmas 12/8/11 and wow!!!! This place rocks and Ed is the man. Amazing selection of beer and the prices were great as well, noticeably lower than Blue Max. One of the top beer stores in town, just a tad on the small side. | | esjaygee (204), Oak Creek, Wisconsin | | October 18, 2011 My favorite bottle shop in the twin cities was recommended to me by Skyview. Pretty much everything is available as a single at reasonable prices and there’s a huge selection of bombers and 750ml bottles along the back wall. I was able to load up my trunk with plenty of stuff I can’t find in Wisconsin. A nice selection of glassware is hanging above the singles. Service was excellent! | | ZMOS (14), Minnesota | | August 11, 2011 A= Average looking store in an older part of town. Clean and well stocked. S= Greeted upon entering and offered help with selection. S= Nice category of 6 packs and mix 6 program. F= N/A V= Reasonable for the area. O= Decent experience with good impression. | | laymansbeerfan (16), Rosemount, Minnesota | | July 2, 2011 Phenomenal place. Had most everything I wanted/needed in stock (ones they didn’t weren’t available this time of year anyway) and the staff was willing to help with anything I had questions about. Definitely reasonable prices; on par with the area. Will be returning here for my next beer run. | | Krampus666 (11), Denmark Township, | | January 1, 2011 [ Updated February 3, 2011 ] A good little beer store with an above average selection of craft and specialty products. More selection and better pricing that Firkins but not as much as Dennis Brothers and Blue Max. Heard about their Xmas tasting but my timing was late - perhaps next year? Did notice a discount on singles which is similar to the aformentioned stores. Met the owner - a pleasant fellow. | | barrelaged1 (10), Beertown, Minnesota | | December 21, 2010 Made my way to Heritage before going to the Muddy Pig. This is an older store located in a suburb of St.Paul. I wasn’t really looking for anything specific, so I entered the store more on a "just looking" mission than one "looking" for something mission. They do have a lot of beers here, a lot of which are found at other stores. The one thing I thought was nice was that they had a large selection of singles. Prices were fair, and the store looked clean. As far as the service...I didn’t take advantage of any do to the fact that I didn’t need any. If I make it back there I’ll try to chat with the beer guy. Over all a nice stop if you live in that part of town.
| | kbutler1 (65), Minnesota | | December 9, 2010 Stopped in on 12/9/10 for their Beer Geek Christmas. Greeted and helped right away by an employee and even offered some nice samples of Bell’s Batch 10,000 and Tyranena Double Down and Dirty (score!). The store has a wide variety of beers with most styles represented. They even had some Surly beers that I have not seen in a while including Abrasive and Wet. Ed introduced himself and we chatted a while about upcoming releases. I was very satisfied with my visit and will be back in the future! The only downside is that it is a little far away from me.
| whudathunkett (2), woodbury, does not count - explanation | | December 2, 2010 I spend too much money here. Its a great place to go and talk about beer, There is no such thing as a "quick run" when you visit Heritage. These guys are great. | Geletka (3), Greenville, North Carolina does not count - explanation | | August 19, 2010 While I realize that there are many specialty beer stores out there in the world, the number that I have been to have paled in comparison to Heritage in every way. Each time a receive a "tip" from a fellow beer enthusiast regarding a store to check out, I am inevitably let down, because of the standard set by Heritage. Everyone who has been to Heritage understands the service is unmatched, but the real gem for me is the right-hand side of the last aisle. I am, of course, referring to their selection of Belgian beers. While Chimay is making its way into nicer grocery store selections, Heritage carries all seven Trappist brewery offerings, as well as many non-Trappist abbey-styles. Cantillion is not even on the map for most beer places, and Heritage must have at least four to choose from. Don’t be fooled by the macro neon signs out front--we all know people can’t make a living on craft brew sales. |
