| osu97gp (11), Atlanta, Georgia | | January 20, 2009 [ Updated March 14, 2009 ] I was a little dissapointed that they didn’t really have the option to buy singles, but they had a nice selection of the big bottles in the back left of the store. Also, a good selection of local micros and quite a large selection of cold beer as well. | | SpringsLicker (89), Tennessee | | August 27, 2008 This will work if you can’t get to Green’s. No real rarities, but a good selection of seasonal/regional micros and some imports. The staff didn’t seem interested in finding a beer for me, telling me the one bottle on the computer was probably sold but I didn’t witness and searching going on for it. | | ChainGangGuy (16), Kennesaw, Georgia | | August 23, 2008 [ Updated March 1, 2009 ] While certainly not a selection comparable to either Green’s locations in Atlanta, it is still far from shabby. If it’s a time issue for you or you just can’t be bothered to make the trek down to Atlanta, then Bullock’s in Marietta (the Woodstock location, on the other hand, is a joke) will do in a pinch. They stock all the micro basics you’ve come to expect in Atlanta: Lagunitas, Avery, Great Divide, DFH, Left Hand, Victory, Uinta, Weyerbacher. A fair selection of Belgian, German, and British brews as well. You may find these brews just a teensy bit cheaper down at Green’s, but you’ll definitely lose in added distance and gas costs. Everything beer related is packed in the back left of the store, with the relatively rarer 750’s and bombers hidden next to an ’Employee’s Only’ door. But hey, a tucked away beer selection is better than no beer selection at all, right? | | PorterPounder (180), Tallahassee, Florida | | June 16, 2007 [ Updated June 17, 2007 ] Sentimental visit - this is the place I bought the first beers I rated over five years ago - Anchor Porter and Carlow O’Hara’s Celtic Stout. Beer is found in three sections - big cooler full of common sixers with a few local micros thrown in - then there is are large shelves with a lot of micro bombers and large sized imports - a few Belgians, some English - lastly - there is an entire "warm" aisle devoted to six packs of a lot of good micros from around the country - Victory, Lagunitas. Avery, Left Hand, Dogfish etc. All moderately priced. Good wde open - warehouse type store - staff was friendly - even at 10:45 at night!
| | Sombeast (19), Pewaukee, Wisconsin | | December 28, 2006 Note there are two PubliX on Sandy Plains, you want the farther one 5-6 miles from 5 / Canton road! They were helpful with directiosn and multiple people asked to help. Not a bad selection of micros & int’l beers, but after working the whole Kennesaw area there were relatively few itens they had that couldn’t be had elsewhere or at Greene’s. | | unclemattie (104), Georgia | | September 15, 2006 [ Updated February 27, 2007 ] On the corner of Sandy Plains and Shallowford Rd, across the street from the big ass Publix. For the area, best prices and selection. A descent beer selection. Walk to the back left corner of the store for the good, rare stuff. |
