| GTAEgeek (49), Atlanta, Georgia | | January 6, 2012 Complete dive bar, with cramped quarters, low ceilings, too much stuff on the walls, and irish music piped in. The wait staff was not very knowledgeable, but very friendly and helpful. The selection is pretty good, but the draft list was half gone, and I got my hopes up for two beers I really wanted, but they were out. The food is great, and the prices are good. This is a good place for a good time and good beer. | bctdi (3), Georgia does not count - explanation | | September 19, 2008 The 1st time I went in here I was excited about the beer selection.....good for the marietta area...belgiums....lots of micros in bottle and a pretty good micro draft selection with a lean to english ales. When we got our beers my friends dogfish head 60 min ipa was absolutely soured. They gladly got him a different beer and all was good. The next time I came I got a total of 4 beers.3 of the 4 were either sour or flat. It`s a shame that they have such a decent selection but let the quality of the beer go to hell. They just don`t take care of the beer here. Not acceptable to me. | | Cybercat (93), Georgia | | June 23, 2007 Located just off Marietta Square in a former firehouse dating from 1885, its dim but not too dark interior lends a cozy and intimate feeling. This is a good gathering place for small groups. It is also an Official Bookcrossing Zone, so if you are an avid reader you will find lots of books in the back rooms. Service is reasonably fast, and the service people are friendly but not overly so and really make you feel welcome. Food is typical pub fare but well made and delicious. |
