Was basically passing through town and stumbled upon this place. Granted I was the only dude in the place, but the lady at the register came back and helped me out. She was very knowledgeable and spent at least 15 minutes chatting with me about Michigan craft brews. Selection was not huge and the craft was mainly the MI stuff like Bells, Founders, New Holland and Jolly Pumpkin, which was cool because it was my first chance to pick up something from JP.

Great selection of beers, for such a small area. The best in town by far. Usually find some interesting harder to find stuff from Founders there. Decent selection of liquor as well, including single malt scotch. Home brewing supplies, and wine if need be.

White’s was heaven-sent when I was living in more remote regions of the Upper Peninsula. They have a good selection of Michigan micros, many singles, and some interesting Belgians. Also, decent homebrew supplies. They have a cool wall of old Michigan bottles above the register. Prices are fair.
