October 9, 2008 OK, I’ve never been to the old country in europe but if I was to imagine how beergardens there looked inside, it would be the inside of this place. As with any of the Sharp Edge establishments in Pittsburgh, this place is the epitome of belgian beer enjoyment. What an impression when you open the door to enter this place. Take all the finer points of the rest of the Sharp Edges and put them into one and you get the Brasserie. Nice bar, impeccable bottle display and separate large dining area rooms equipped with comfy booths. Very refined and civilized. Overall a great place that you must stop at if you are a beer nerd wandering around the southern area of Pgh. Usually when I go to beer places anymore, it’s difficult to find beers I haven’t tasted. Not here, I picked four new beers right off the bat. Though I didn’t have any food this time, the fare I saw looked delicious and if it’s like the other Sharp Edges, you will not be dissapointed! Good friendly knowledgable bartender help. Only drawback was it’s a little expensive, for me that is, not you. Did this place at lunchtime on a wenesday, not crowded at all. Very enjoyable experience. |
