| nate2g (151), Brisbane, Australia | | August 21, 2009 A wall of beer there sure is a lot, and a large amount of stock that I haven’t seen elsewhere. As others have mentioned a huge range of Belgians and other Euro beers and a few Aussie micros though I didn’t see any hard to find brews. I’d definitly stock up here if I lived in the area. A decent beer store no doubt. | whiterabbit (1), , Australia does not count - explanation | | August 13, 2009 Excellent selection of beers from around the world. All staff seem to have an acceptable level of knowledge but not the personal service level that you would like. Around 500 beers to choose from. | | NoiZe (49), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands | | June 21, 2009 Good selection of international brews. Too litlle local, australian brews though. Good, helpfull people. | Thomo (6), Doncaster, Australia does not count - explanation | | March 15, 2009 Finally, got down there to see what the fuss was about. heard good things about this place and its selection. Staff were friendly, liked a chat and new their stuff..
Smart selection, plenty of top rates but, doesn’t quite have the limited releases as other stores.
Worth the search.. | bookman10 (8), Osseo, Minnesota does not count - explanation | | January 6, 2009 The selection here was truly amazing. I wish I had some way to transport these beers home--I would have bought more if that were the case. I haven’t ever seen such a wide variety of Belgians on display anywhere before. The staff wasn’t particularly knowledgeable--seemed to want to be more trendy and fit in with the beach-side community there in St. Kilda. Still, they were friendly and did their best. Atmosphere and ambiance a bit hectic and rushed--you’d think it would be a bit more laid-back. | | UnholyBrewing (17), Melbourne(Mulgrave), Australia | | August 21, 2008 ...been here a couple of times, and I’m not going back after I realized how rediculously overpriced everything is. I think it’s basically a tourist trap, and the staff knows nothing about beer except what is the highest priced, which is of course what they reccomend. They used to have more belgian wits and german wheat beers, but not anymore. They have a decent selection, but it’s not worth it. | holygrALELS (1), , Australia does not count - explanation | | February 6, 2008 Staff had no knowledge at all, very expensive to say the least.they claim they have 400 beers, not even half that. | BeerDesire (1), , Australia does not count - explanation | | November 20, 2006 My local beer shop has had a total makeover. Ben, the store owner’s son, has played a major part in re-shaping this store. The shop sells now in excess of 400 beers from around the globe and is soon about to bring in their own imported beers.
Wasted coutless hours in the store on Sunday admiring their selction and spending my hard-earned cash.
Well worth a visit! | johninmelb (3), Bristol, England does not count - explanation | | December 17, 2005 Although the shop is a bit of a dump and the staff a little distracted as a rule, at the end of the day they have an excellent range of beers unequaled in Melbourne to my knowledge. | | highlandlad (37), Sydney, Australia | | October 3, 2005 [ Updated October 11, 2005 ] A very good beer range by regional standards - certainly stronger than 99.9% of Sydney bottlos. Nice selection of Europeans, as mentioned. And it’s in a great area to spend a few hours if you’re visting from out of town. |
