Nice little place in the CBD. The service was excellent with a guy who knew all about beer, how to pour and serve it. The selection was pretty decent but modest with stuff from all over the world. Prices about the same as most places in the city. Really great place for a beer any time.

Has elevated itself into a top shelf destination in a relatively short time frame. Just another inner city bar in many respects but very good good tap options (10 at any given time), reasonable priving (say $5 a pot) and a very very solid bottle range. Staff know what they are doing. Probably the best sourse of craft beer on tap in te city.

Between the market and the legal district, close to Flagstaff station. A dozen tap beers all the same price, the more exotic ones in smaller glasses. Cheap on $5 night, fairly pricey otherwise. Tap selection varies and/ but turns over rapidly. Even the short bottle list seemed long. Some issues with glassware cleanliness. Mainly Spanish beer-friendly food good and quite ambitious.

This is such a fun place! They really care about beer, and keep offering local and international treats. Only issues are the pricing, and the crowds, get in early and you’ll have a ball.

An oasis of solace in the beer wasteland of Melbourne. Biero has a fascinating and ever-changing selection of excellent regional microbrews on tap and a surprisingly comprehensive, global selection of bottled beer. The staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I had a long conversation with one barman about the relative merits of different styles made by Bell’s, Founder’s and Three Floyds, which ended with him pulling out a bottle of Three Floyd’s I’d never seen before. And live 20 miles from the brewery. And, to top it off, the food is excellent.

Impressive little bar with a great range of some big and challenging beers. Great atmosphere late at night. And $5 pint Wednesday is insane.

Enthusiastic, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff, quite a few interesting beers on tap + loads more in bottles, live music, and apparently $5 pints on Wednesdays! Pretty neat!

Knowledgable and enthusiastic staff, good if ever-varying selection, amazing special nights. The food style and availability can vary wildly from month to month, but the place is never, ever dull.

This place is well known for it’s good value. Decent taps and those strange giraffe taps. Very clean, vogue atmosphere, but not overly pretentious like Cookie.

Fantastic, different and less expensive way of enjoying some of the best local beers in Australia. If only there were more places like this! Amazing!
