Finally made it over here while touring FL with markwise. Run down warehouse where there is a small beer bar and selection of bottles on the second floor overlooking the brewing operation. So this is where so many FL brewed pale lagers have been born. Hmmm. OK set-up here for sampling a few of their offerings on tap and they also do 32oz swing top growler fills too.

The tasting room is on the second floor overlooking the main warehouse of FL Beer Co. You can watch the guys making, bottling, or doing what FL Beer Co does to beer here. Off of the main drag and easy to find. The guy behind the bar knew a bit about beer but could answer no questions about FL Beer Co, what was in the tanks, if they were going to the festivals in the coming weeks or anything to that effect. He was very friendly and poured anything I wanted with a smile. I felt a bit overdressed in a t-shirt and shorts, and my shirt was not Guy Harvey or Jimmy Buffet. Very nice sampling of their beers.

Bored and nervous (how is that possible) teenager served us a few samples. I felt like he wanted to be anywhere else - as long as wasn’t serving beer to the likes of us. It was hot and stuffy up stairs with no AC. No brew knowledge flowed. Maybe four of their dozen or so brews were on tap. You could look over the rail at the brewery works, but there was no narration or signage to explain anything. We left with a mix bottle six pack of OK beer. They have bought out 5 or 6 Florida breweries. They maintain the labels but not the spirit.

I like to stop by a few time a year. I try to go in the cooler months, the taseting room overlooks the brewery and can get a little hot in the summer.

Took a QUICK visit to this place. Orange painted warehouse with teal trim. Tasting room is upstairs. It was obvious I was an inconvenience to the guy I was making help me. They had three taps, and lots of bottles. I was ready to leave after my one single sample of beer. Which was really good BTW, because it was so fresh. So I asked if they did any mix bottle packs, "oh, sure we do." So let me get some of these here. "Oh not of those we don’t." OK, see ya bye. Value was good cause I left. just like joekinty stated

FOOD:::Awesome German Restaurant Edelweiss, across the street. Open 4p-9p daily! I highly recommend the Goulash.

Production has ratched up, like a regional brewer. Retaining independence of A-B. Beers are highly carbonated, watery, cheesy. Not stuff for the craft beer crowd, but a worthwhile tour and stop.

Visited early in December last year, I was all dressed up in the middle of the afternoon having come from work and, after walking into the tasting room, someone asked me if I should be there. Despite this lasting first impression, I saw the line-up along the bar: Irish Kelly’s, Beachside, Hurricane Reef, Ybor Gold, Key West and Indian River Brewing, 18 in all their glory. But apparently the brewer told me that some of them are the same, like the Beachside Porter is also known as the Ybor Gold Gaspar Porter. The server started by giving me girly light shxt beers then noticed me taking notes and migrated to better stuff. The place smells of yeast and mould and bran flakes, like many breweries do, but this one is nice and clean and bright. And the locals were interesting in their conversations about toothpaste, so at least I was entertained.

Worthy of a stop when you are in the area. Tasting room is on the second floor of the non-air conditioned brewery, so it can be a little toasty on a summer afternoon. Our host on our visit generously served us small samples of the various contract beers produced by this brewer. There are some solid beers in this line, but none that will likely top the ratebeer top 100 list in the foreseeable future. Even though they produce the Holy Mackerel line, these beers are not available for tasting. And you can buy any of their beers in bottles or kegs.

A place everyone should go if in the area. You won’t find Darklord on tap but you will find a decent selection of pretty solid beers. The guys are willing to pour you a tap or crack open a bottle of whatever they have. Very nice place I will always stop by when in the area or even just passing through. No food no frills but a nice seating area overlooking the brewery.
