| nate2g (151), Brisbane, Australia | | August 21, 2009 A decent range of beers available with the main focus on Belgians and other Euro beers. A great selection though and a fair few I hadn’t seen elsewhere. There’s also a deli serving meat, cheese etc that all looked good and could be matched nicely with the beers. Worth a look if you’re in the area. | | UnholyBrewing (17), Melbourne(Mulgrave), Australia | | August 21, 2008 ...well, I went in here last weekend, and it was pretty nice. I didn’t buy anything, but i will when I go back. Good deli, and lots of wines. Reasonably priced, not that great of a beer selection, but not too bad. Much cheaper than Acland, and they did have a decent belgian selction, but nothing amazing, worth a look. | | Bragesnak (67), Aarhus, Denmark | | March 25, 2008 Mostly a wine shop. The selection of Eurepean beers is OK but for Australians the Bottle Shop a little down Lygon St. as good
Nice cheese and meat selection | kbrower (3), does not count - explanation | | May 3, 2007 [ Updated June 23, 2007 ] I took long trips to Cloudwine and Purvis before I realized this was right down the street from me. The deli is great and the beer selection is better than cloudwine, and a little worse purvis. | | voota (92), Melbourne, Australia | | June 12, 2005 [ Updated November 27, 2006 ] A local for me, stocking a solid selection of non-rare beers from UK, Belgium and NZ... as well as some mixed quality micros from oz. Also has beers from many other countries but it’s all swill. The place is really there for wine and deli food , with the latter being of excellent value and quality.
The other thing is the fridge section, where you can usually pick up cheap, good quality cold beer when in need. | | mullet (133), Melbourne, Australia | | January 11, 2005 Not the greatest shop for beer, but certainly deserving of a mention here. Stocks a lot of Belgians (though far too many from Huyghe) which is good, and they occasionally get local stuff nobody else seems to have (Marinda Park cider for instance). The deli is great and they have a LOT of wine. Good touristy type joint. |
