April 2, 2012 Stopped by Buster’s with my friend that goes to U of M (I was visiting from Cincinnati). As mentioned before, Memphis is assbackwards in many respects--including their beer laws. The place is nice enough, with a nice marquee-like sign out front, and the service is friendly, but associates lacked beer knowledge. The selection was pretty much a joke! Sure, I was able to choose some good beer for WrestleMania viewage, but it was pretty pathetic. But hey, I don’t think Memphis is a big micro / craft beer town. That is the impression I get. |

March 10, 2012 In process in regard to beer knowledge, but still one of the best places to go in Memphis for big beer. |

January 29, 2010 [ Updated March 4, 2011 ] This place is ok, nothing fancy, but they do have a decent selection of high alc beers. Prices seemed pretty good. I found several things here that I don’t see in Nashville. I didn’t have anyone ask me for help so I’m only assuming they didn’t know much about the beer. |

October 1, 2009 nicer store with small but good selection of beer, like others have mentioned they have a minimum ABV they can sell but what they have is good stuff, prices seemed average |

February 21, 2008 In town on a trip and swung by this place to try to find a few good local brews and oddities, but ran in to the idiosincracies of Memphis beer sales law. They only carry stuff over 7% and have a very mediocre offering of beer... you can find some Belgians, a few micros and the like, but I’d guess there were no more than 30 or 40 beers to choose from. Flip side is that if you’re in the market for wine or liquor, this will be more like heaven. |

June 22, 2007 Stopped in on a day trip to Memphis. Limited but quality selection - Unibroue, Stone, Dogfish, etc. Most everything seemed to be available chilled or room temp. Emphasis is definitely on spirits and wine. Worth a stop-in if you’re in the area. |

January 23, 2007 Small but quality selection of beers, more Belgians than anything else. The staff was attentive and friendly. I picked up a couple of reasonably priced sakes. |

January 4, 2007 Great store and very good selection of both room-temperature and chilled brews. Very good selection of domestic micros/craft brews and imports. Good place to shop. |

December 25, 2006 For Memphis, this is the best place I found. Strange Memphis law dictates that only liquor stores can care beer above 6%. One cooler and a decent shelf had a few Belgians and micros. |
