Absolutely amazing selection of beers, and usually interesting stuff in the spirits side as well. Prices can be a bit high, itís Menlo Park. They do have a food truck festival every Monday evening (check their Facebook page for selection) and they do have BBQ and sandwiches inside, but their licensing does not allow on-site consumption of alcohol.

Visited November 5, 2013.

This is located at the corner of two very busy streets. In fact Willow was so busy that the traffic was backed all the way up from 101. Luckily there is a center left turn lane on Middlefield and there are enough parking spots in the lot. As soon as I walked in I was impressed. Actually, before I walked in I was impressed by the claim of 1000 craft beers displayed in the window. Immediately upon entering youíll see a couple of shelves with a lot of Belgian beer on them. I splurged and got a 750 of this years (and first ever distributed) Tilquin Quetsche plum lambicÖ for $36. They also had some other cool stuff on that shelf like 3 Fonteinen Golden Gueuze, Hanssens 750s, and Hanssens Oudebeitje. I spotted some Timmermanís varieties which may not be the most popular but is something you donít see every day. The rest of the beer is in the back in the fridges and in one aisle. There is a small section of eastern European and middle eastern beers. I spotted some Czech beers, some Lituanian beers, and even an Armenian beer. They have a sizeable German collection too. All this is on top of the good amount of American beers. Damn, how have I not been here before? Iíll definitely be coming back at some point.

Good selection of beer and hot sauces. When I was there a BBQ truck was out front! They had awesome brisket!

Now this place is the shit! From the outside it is just your average local market, but step inside and see the beer. The buyer knows his stuff, and he has tonís of dedicated space. This might be the best selection in the mid-penninsula. A true gem in the rough. Prices range from extremely competetive to a little high, but they were running a 10% off clearance sale when I was there, which was pretty nice. Great selection of Lithuanian beers for some reason, if you are into that. :) Follow up: the selection is still good, but turnover is slow. Watch for old bottles. The 10% off sale is perpetual.

My favorite local rare beer store and craft food market. Itís hard to go in and not spend a few hundred on beer without trying. When they have a full shelf of Mikeller and a huge selection of Belgians, it takes a lot to just pull me out of this place.
