| wlajwl (18), Quad Cities, Iowa | | April 26, 2012 Good selection on the website and it was shipped and received promptly. Pretty good, will probably order from them again. | HopTriangle (2), Idaho does not count - explanation | | March 17, 2012 Lots of bottles, free samples of the taps before you buy one, very good food (have liked everything I’ve tried), fun/friendly staff, quart or growler filling. Rick and his staff arrange some awesome beer fests! | | FreshHawk (14), Iowa City, Iowa | | February 2, 2011 Ordered a shipment online from the website. Pretty good selection of mostly west coast breweries. Average set up for the website with a single column of beers in alphabetical order, and they do have a search bar. Not my favorite interface, but not difficult to find what they have.
Pretty good selection. Like I said many are western states, but some of the bigger eastern breweries as well. Also it is not necessarily California heavy, at least not California breweries with fairly limited distribution. Some good mountain and other western state breweries that aren’t readily available, at least to me such as Maui, Midnight Sun, and Squatters to name a couple. Decent selection of imports, but nothing great, although that’s not really what I would look for on an online beer store. Seem to get a pretty good selection of special releases although they obviously sell out fairly fast. Overall seems like a pretty good selection, especially if you do not live in that general distribution area.
Price seemed about average, maybe a little above what other places would offer, at least for the ones that I have seen prices for on other sites/in person stores. That said it isn’t a large difference, just don’t expect any great deals. Shipping is reasonable and what you would expect cost-wise.
Shipping was fast and everything arrived safely. Seemed well packed. Good communication and received a tracking number as soon as one was available. Definitely seemed like they knew what to do when shipping.
Overall I thought this was a nice online shop that gave me a way to get some mountain state (and Alaska and Hawaii) brews that I couldn’t normally get. Probably wouldn’t order from here on a regular basis, but if there is a special release they have enough there to make it worth it. Also take 10% on orders of 12 and 15% on orders of 24. Overall a good experience ordering from them. | | BrewDad (359), Olympia, Washington | | January 14, 2011 Great time this is a great bottle shop in Boise. They had well over 500 different bottles and 4 taps going. They pride themselves in having both Western US and Pac NW beers in the same place. The service was great. I know I will be back soon. | | 3fourths (962), Boulder, Colorado | | December 28, 2010 small strip-mall boutique-ish beer store with inflated prices, noses stuck in the air w.r.t. six-packs, and overall a fairly unimpressive selection given the chatter I’ve heard about this store. the boise co-op beats this location in every respect: price, selection, ambiance and service. maybe if I lived in the burbs where they’re located I’d be convinced it was the best place around for over-priced bottles and growlers, and would enjoy being treated like a noob by a guy who doesn’t even understand his beer styles. | lordkaos (2), Idaho does not count - explanation | | May 23, 2010 Brewforia. What canI say. It is a true beer market. Huge selection. Service is perfect. You can hear yourself. And a great value on beer. This place has the largest selection of beer to choose from. They have a couple of beers on tap to choose from, while you look around. They will even try to find beer for you that they don’t have. I’ll let everyone know about this place. | | DigitalMan (11), Idaho | | March 20, 2010 [ Updated November 14, 2010 ] Great selection and prices. Discounts if you buy a lot at once. Saw several things I’ve never seen in Boise. Rick was cool and really helpful. Will be back often! | | jake65 (84), Williston, North Dakota | | February 25, 2010 With a place like Brewforia in Boise, it’s a good thing I moved. Otherwise I’d be broke with all the neat brews Rick is bringing in. Nice shop is displayed well and easy to navigate. And who can argue with having a sample while you shop? Just like Doug said, this is a great addition to the Boise beer scene. | | douglas88 (117), Salt Lake City, Utah | | January 19, 2010 A nice little place. Lots of nice beer, and some stuff not available anywhere else in Boise. A few samples while you browse with some tables and a TV. Rick is one hell of a guy, and a RB member, so needless to say he will hook it up. Growler fills are coming soon as well. A nice addition to the Boise scene. | | Sledutah (151), Utah | | January 18, 2010 [ Updated August 21, 2010 ] Great selection of beers & glassware, and getting more in all the time. We (and everybody that entered) was welcomed with enthusiasm as soon as you walked it the door. Rick is a very nice guy and loves to talk beer! They have 2 beers on tap for growlers to-go and for drinking while your shopping, they also have seating, tables and a TV set up. It doesn’t get much better than that!
A great beer shopping experience. I’m looking forward to coming back again next time I’m in town.
Update: My first trip to the new store in Meridian. Now with more beer and seating inside & outside. They have 4 beers on tap to drink while browsing the beer selection, watching some TV or while eating. Yes, they even sell personal sized fresh pizza’s.
I wish I lived closer, but maybe it’s good I don’t! |
