I went in looking for something specific that they had run out of. The staff was very helpful pointing me in the direction of similar beers from different brewers.
I agree with one of the other raters that their prices for some of the European beers (Leffe, etc.) they carry are undercut by some of the local grocery stores. However, my experience with those stores is that you can’t count on them to keep an unusual brand on the shelf for more than a few weeks.
What really made this trip worthwhile was the selection of Mexican microbrews which often can’t break into the big Mexican supermarket chains because of the market dominance of Corona and FEMSA. The staff knows what they’re talking about if you have questions and are definitely enthusiastic about the beer they’re selling. | 86 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 18/20 Sdaniel90 (11) Estado de México, Mexico | September 19, 2009| Updated April 2, 2010 The only specialized store in the northern metropolitan area. Great place, but Comercial Mexicana sells some of their products at better prices. Also, selection is pretty limited. I like the fact that they give a hand to national microbreweries. | 60 AMBIANCE 1/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 10/20 lunatico (1) playa del carmen,, Mexico | December 7, 2008| Updated April 2, 2010 Good Beer Selection, need to work on the webpage is confusing to buy and to surf in the different sections of the site. | 100 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 20/20 JuStuka (3) Edo De Mex, Mexico | September 2, 2008| Updated October 15, 2008 Well not really a bar or restaurant, lets say a place where you can buy many beers, by the way the service is excellent and is not expensive. | 100 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 20/20 gerardoluna (7) , Mexico | May 26, 2008| Updated October 15, 2008 Join Us, be a BeerBox Member! and enjoy with us our GrEaT World Beer’s
