| justruy (10), Florida | | March 29, 2012 Great bar tucked away in a residential part of the beach so it’s far away from all the loudness of SB. Really quiet and great atmosphere. Beer selection here is pretty good - great selection of bottled beers about 200 or so, and a great tap selection as well and it’s always rotating. This bar also has a lot of very nice events. | | 50belair (41), Florida | | November 7, 2011 a swank little dive with a great beer selection. | Flerg (7), Miami, Florida does not count - explanation | | June 7, 2011 Hands down, the best beer bar in Miami. Excellent list, which rotates in new selections regularly. No douchey-SoBe attitude; patrons & employees are actually FRIENDLY. Cool, laid back vibe; plus, its as big as The Room and The Abbey put together, so you’re not crushed into a tiny space.
Now that they’re back to operating a full schedule, they have happy hour 5-9 PM daily.
Add to that Pub Trivia every Tuesday for the chance to win free beer, and you’ve got a winning combination. | hotchilidoggg (1), Brooklyn, New York does not count - explanation | | August 30, 2010 Owner & bartenders know about their beers and make great recommendations. atmosphere is quiet, dark, and laid back. They have a pretty amazing trivia night, if you win you don’t have to pay your tab! The beer selection is great for such a small place (for any size place really). The pricing is moderate and the only real downside is that they don’t offer food. But if you just want a chill little spot to have conversation and some amazing beers... this is one of the (very) few places in miami to do so! | | masticesj (10), New Jersey | | August 8, 2010 Great place to hang out while in Miami Beach! | | dimenhetfield (56), , Florida | | May 7, 2010 I loath Miami. Not only do I loath it, but I FEAR it. That’s right, Fear and Loathing in Miami. With that being said, I’ve actually found a decent bar that I can hang at. The selection is great and the crowd isn’t too pack like every other bar in Miami. Check it out. The owner knows his beer, that’s for sure. | | MikeMoriendi (50), Boynton Beach, | | April 19, 2010 [ Updated May 8, 2010 ] I went this past Friday for their 3rd Anniversary and the tapping of the Sierra Nevada Rhymes Wit that the owner helped brew at a camp at Sierra Nevada. I along with a few friends pull up and I liked the way the place looked. It’s a converted house in a residential neighborhood. It was pretty busy already around 9. It took us 30 minutes easy to get a bartender to acknowledge us despite being looked at numerous times at the end of the bar with no drinks in hand. There were 3 bartenders on and they all seemed to just be paying attention to the middle of the bar and not the ends. Then we were told there was no more Gonzo on tap but just a bit later saw it being poured from. Luckily Diego, the owner, made better later on in the night. Yes it was busy but 3 bartenders at a small bar did not all need to be bunched in the middle of the bar, ignoring people on the sides that are waiting. The selection was really nice and well laid out on a chalk board with pricing that seemed fair. Once the guys from Fresh Beer showed up we had a real good time. We shared some beers with them and Diego and had a good time. I would definitely go again. I just hope the bartenders spread out a bit.
Edit: I went there again last night and it wasn’t nearly as busy before and the service was pitiful. I feel bad because the owner is so nice but he needs to do something here. It took almost 10 minutes to be asked what I wanted while others on either side of me get served. Then 10 minutes after asking for the beer other new people are served. Completely forgotten. | | Dstructo (12), Hollywood, Florida | | March 28, 2010 A favorite spot on the beach! The beer selection is far better than average down there. Diego, the owner is incredibly friendly & knows his stuff. Very comfertable interiors, & even a stoop on which you can pearch out front and enjoy the evening. No kitchen, but no sweat. They don’t mind if you have something delivered in... | | DeadGirl (76), La Jolla, California | | November 29, 2009 An outstanding beer bottle selection (as well as wine and sake) is written up on a huge blackboard on the back wall next to the bar. But don’t rely soley on that as they have what looked like twice as many bottles in a beer list behind the bar. We went in at around 8pm and sat on one of their extremely comfy couches next to a wall-mounted TV and got into talking with Diego, the owner and manager. He knows beer and beer culture and loves talking about it with other enthusiats. My favorite bar in Miami Beach, if not all of Miami. I only wish they had a cask or two. Return: Yes. | | moulesfrites (10), Florida | | November 18, 2009 This place has a good selection, including a good wine & sake list. Service is very, very slow on weekends and the bar staff is hit or miss. The frosted glassware thing makes me feel like I’m at a sports bar, not good for every beer. Best for maybe before/after a dinner date or nightcap, when you want a nice beer but will probably not stay too long. |
