Really like this bar. One of my favorite in the beach. Pretty great selection on tap, but a bit limited since there are only about 6 of them. Not bad, because the 6 taps are always good craft beers. As far as the bottles; pretty good selection as well as pretty decent prices. The ambiance is one of my favorite things about this bar. One thing I can not forget to mention is how good the music always is at this place.

I kinda like this place alot. Can’t grasp exactly why, but I honestly don’t like that many Miami Beach bars. Therefore, I probably like this place for two reasons: I simply like the selection and atmosphere or this is a really good place to be in comparison to other bars in the area. Either way, I’m happy!!! Thanks for existing The Room! :)

The best bar on south beach to relax and enjoy your favorite quality brew. Sexy ambiance without the fluff and cheese. No-nonsense professional staff (usually just one or two people). Excellent music selection. Watch out for crowds on weekends as the place is rather small. Nice belgian list, the menu on the board is arranged by country.

This place is kind of cool. A nice atmoshpere, but on weekends it is so crowded and the prices? they suck. But it is a fun place to people watch and chill while drinking good beer.

Dark and small, cozy and urban-chill. Standoffish service at the time. One of the better beer lists on the Beach and a great location, tucked away. Good place to hang the hat for a few. Only opens at night.

We went in for the first time the other night. It was rainy and miserable so we had the place to ourselves. Nice dark, concrete modern look to the place. Good beer list, both tap and bottle. I liked it.

For those in my native Milwaukee, a little analogy: The Room is to Abbey Brewing Company as the Palm Tavern is to Romans Pub. In the beer wasteland that is Miami Beach, both places provide a refuge. The Room is extremely dark, with a loungey feel seemingly leftover from the 50’s or 60’s. The beer menu is more than credible, heavy on the Belgians, lacking in U.S. micros. All very good, and yet nothing that truly stands out. Beer culture isn’t great, but it isn’t bad. I feel that somehow The Room was less than the sum of its parts on paper, I should have liked it more, and yet while it lacked something intabgible, it was still a good place. I’d go back, but only after a nice long visit to the Abbey Brewing Company.

The Room offers a lot of beers, mostly in bottles, and focuses on imported beers and has a quasi-sophisticated atmosphere to match. This is better-beer Miami Beach-style, meaning that image is very important, even more so than substance. However, unlike many places in South Beach, The Room offers some substance to go along with the sophisticated image it offers. The room is a small bar that has a very lounge-y feel to it. Limited seating and darkness (candles, the bar iPod, and a small TV were the only illumination) make it not very cozy nor inviting. Beer list is strong, but far more import-focused than US craft focused with a lot of emphasis on Belgian beers. I had a Val Dieu Triple and Des Rocs Tripel. Glassware was appropriate. A lot of interesting beers, and no garbage. We had an attractive young female bartender who didn’t seem particularly concerned with beer connoisseurship, but she was fairly attentive and seemed to know the bar inventory well (she knew they were out of Sam Smith Imp Stout without going to the fridge...although she should’ve erased it from the board). Flyer and I discussed how a beer list doesn’t make a beer place. And despite the selection, The Room doesn’t feel very “beer-y.” I liked The Room, although I found Abbey Brewing more to my tastes. Still, it is a bright spot of beer selection in Miami Beach and I’d recommend it.
