Stopped in for a tour and see the new brewery. Staff was friendly and pleasant. the beers that I sampled where very good. Including their Cyclone series. They also distill Rum (Thomas Tew) which was very good. Nice to see Rhode Island making Rum and Beer. This is a fun tour to do if your in Newport.

I stopped in with my wife during a recent trip to Newport and had a wonderful time at the brewery. We spent most of the time talking beer with our guide/bartender who served us four different beers from their lineup, including their latest Storm series release "Ryan." The tasting glasses are tulips, which you get to keep when the tasting is over. I love the rum tasting glasses they have, and my wife bought me two that she is putting away for Christmas. If you are looking for locally made craft beer, your two options are this place and Coddington, which is just down the road.

Visited the brewery a few weekends ago with family for a tour, sampled the unique rums, as I’ve had what they were offering. The tasting room and shop is very nice, with great swag and very friendly staff. The tour is quick and self-guided most of the time (there are scheduled lead tours - call ahead). They offer a very nice branded tulip glass that comes with the tasting. The only thing that was a little off-putting for me was the general cleanliness of the brewery, rather surprisingly dirty. I’m also surprised that no beer has made it into used Rum barrels (with time, maybe, with time). Nothing you can get here (beer-wise) that you won’t be able to get in one of the beer local liquor stores.

A great local microbrew company and RI’s only one! After standing in line for about 20 mintues, someone comes around and counts heads untill they are full, the rest have to go home because they only let about 35 into the tour, and 35 in to the tasting. Very friendly hosts, for $5 you get a pint glass, filled with beer, and a tour of where they make their beer. After the tour, you go into the tasting room, where hopefully those people with the 3 plastic cups of free beer have already left, then you can get 3 more styles of beer free to fill up your pint glass. The place is a garage store house, basicly they rent out 2 garages. The place is tight, but makes for a great place to meet and talk to people since your smushed together. Tons and tons of college kids.

The tour is a great way to kick off the weekend. When you line up to get in, you are handed four bottle caps which are redeemable for free beer! Once you get a beer of your choice, you take the tour of the small brewing facility (with a pit stop for beer refills of course). Then after the tour, everyone just hangs out in front of the taps till they have n bottle caps left. Good times!

I was recently here for a tour. This was located waaaay off the beaten path off a back road. They have two seperate areas. There is one area with a tasting room that is rather small and they have 3 taps on, quite dark. The other room is about twice the size with all of the brewing equipment. The tour was nice and somewhat informative, but the place is really small and dark. I didn’t care because the brewers are super cool and they give you 4 free pints of beer for doing the tour!
