| BeerandBlues2 (358), Lone Tree, Colorado | | February 5, 2012 This brew pub is located along the river in Milton, or pretty close to Lewisburg. The interior seems like a 1980’s chain restaurant, though I do have to cut them some slack given their recent flood. There were a few house beers on alongside several craft selections. No food was consumed on this trip, so I cannot comment on it, other than it seemed to be varied in cuisine. | bierkitty (8), Elysburg, Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | May 19, 2011 The Italian food really rocks with the fresh sauces and all. The antipastos are delicous and a really nice touch. And who could complain about half price pizza night? Did I mention the beers? Central PA is rapidly turning into Brewpub Nirvana. My review might be somewhat influenced by an excess of an awesome Porter. | | DiarmaidBHK (307), Pennsylvania | | March 20, 2011 Admittedly it’s not yet much to look at. There’s a bit of a maze within the building before you get to the bar but how often do you get to drink beer at a place and talk to the person who brewed your beer? River House has been open a year but the guy in charge has been brewing for over a decade and it shows in the beer. This is a place that does fantastic big beers. The triple and the oatmeal stout were both outstanding. They have plans to move the kitchen which will give them more space to brew more and different kinds of beer. They currently have around 7-9 different beers on tap plus a guest tap. It’s fantastic to visit a place that’s on the up run by people with a passion for beer. A great addition to the neighborhood. |
