56 Visited on a Friday afternoon. There were 12 of us in our group, was nice. Plenty of parking, nice gift shop and a decent movie prior to taking the tour. Most of the tour is outside, so be prepared for the weather. The brewhouse climb was ok, a little warm once up the 56 steps, but worth it. We were given three samples after the tour, was surprised by the amount of beer in each glass, not complaining. Worth the admission price, free. |
58 Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Tour was packed. Easy parking. Everything is over-produced as you'd expect, but aside from that it's a good tour. Creepy movie followed by a four block journey of their various facilities. First time I've been to one of the big macro breweries, so cool. Nice urban feel to the tour. And the brewhouse made the 80 degree weather outdoors feel pretty cool. Three free samples at the end, about 25 ounces total. Nothing earth shattering, but, you might catch a random Leinenkugel's tick. Overall, worth doing once. |
44 Very nice brewery are with the old brewery buildings. A nice piece of US brewery history in Milwaukee. The gift shop was as commercial as the Budweiser one in St Louis. And is was also as expensive. Or even more expensive if it’s possible. No beer to buy to take home. No need for another visit. |
52 Compared to the Budweiser and Coors tours, I thought the Miller tour was pretty lame. You really didn’t get to see much, other than some brew kettles and a canning line that wasn’t running. At they end, they gave us a few free samples. But they didn’t even let you choose what beers you sampled, they just gave you a set lineup. Lame. I was disappointed, wouldn’t recommend it to others. |
56 We took the standard tour on a Friday morning in July. Place was packed. Pretty standard tour along the lines of what AB and Coors do, too. They include 3 samples of their terrible beers at the end. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Worth stopping by. (Brewery #613) |
52 I toured this place some time ago and they asked for volunteers at the end of the tour. Everyone was afraid to raise their hand, but I did, and was treated to a blind tasting. Unfortunately all the beers we tasted were from SAB Miller. Oh well. The other people on the tour were a bunch of clowns - lierally. Attending the Ringling Brothers Clown College. They were the most depressing people I’ve ever met. Definitely a memorable tour, but for very odd reasons. |
72 Would you fucking idiots quit rating this place based on the beer! If you want to rate Miller Lite, Miller High life, etc. go to the search area, type in the Miller product you wish to rate, and hit search. Select the beer you wish to rate, and rate that. Now that that is out of the way, I will say this place was great. The staff was great! They were very enthusiastic, and full of knowledge. They explained everything quite well, and the tour didn’t cost a dime! The gift shop was awesome, and had quite a few awesome products that I walked away with. The tour was short and informative, and the amount of beer they give you, for FREE, is awesome. It was great seeing a macro brewery at work. I would highly recommend going on the tour, if you’re in Milwaukee. Again, the assholes below are too stupid to rate the place, and were rating Miller products. |
28 Nice idea, just not anything good to drink there. |
52 Toured the place while visiting Milwaukee. You know, if you’ve never toured one of the big companies, you really should. It’s impersonal, huge, and eye-opening, but a must-have experience. The ambiance is okay, I guess. The nicest part is being in the old caves and sitting in the nice indoor bar drinking High Life. The service was fine - the tour guides were very knowledgeable and the bartenders did their jobs when at those parts of the tour. The selection is... well... Miller stuff, what’d you expect? You get High Life inside, and outside you get a few more choices with some Leinenkugel’s thrown in the mix. The value is actually alright because everything is free! Overall, do it once, maybe twice, experience it, and don’t look back. |
46 It’s miller. Fun tour of a milwaukee establishment, but still.. It’s miller. |
