Visited for a late lunch on a Thursday. This is the bar that is connected to the Wisconsin Cheese Mart. Clean, modern wood layout with plenty of bar seats and tables spread throughout two rooms. I had the Gourmet grilled cheese which was solid, and the "pour 4" ~ 6 oz drafts of Ale Asylum Hopalicuous, Lakefront White, Tyranena Scurvy and Capital Island Wheat. Service was a bit odd, there was a table of two and me in the entire restaurant, yet the bartender spent pretty much the entire time with her back to us, working on the point of sale. Not sure what she was doing, but she was certainly not checking to see if I needed anything. I had to get her attention for everything. Overall, worth hitting if you are also hitting the Cheese Mart. It’s centrally located, so why not?

As a side note, the Wisconsin Cheese Mart is a great place. Really great selection of cheeses, and random Wisconsin schwag.

Smaller bar behind the cheese store. A decent selection of Wisconsin craft beer on tap and cheese and sausage plates to boot. I’ve stopped in here after a few Bucks games to grab a beer. They occasionally have events with Wisconsin breweries and cheese, though I haven’t been to any of them.

I originally discovered this place as a cheese lover but I was more than pleasantly surprised with their selection of Wisconsin beers. Located inside the Wisconsin Cheese Mart, The Cheese Bar offers flights of cheese and beer. I tried the Wisconsin Sampler which was four beers from Wisconsin breweries. They also offer a flight of your choice of any four beers on tap. Cheese plates, grilled sandwiches, and bratwurst round out the rest of the menu. My only real complaint is the slow service once you order.
