| tkrjukoff (133), , Sweden | | May 4, 2011 Nice, cosy atmosphere. Good selection of traditional Amrican food and their own beers. Music too loud. Staff very helpful | | JaBier (68), Capital City, Ohio | | November 14, 2010 Stopped in on Friday, 10/15/10 and Sunday, 10/17/10. Decent looking place that wasn’t terribly busy during either trip. Selection wasn’t all that impressive, but their pumpkin ale was unique and good enough to keep drinking. Didn’t try the food. Service was okay on Friday night and pretty solid on Sunday afternoon. | | CheersMate (132), Fremont (Seattle), Washington | | August 16, 2010 The service was absolute shit. My party of three sat at our table for more than 10 minutes, and weren’t even noticed! I fucking hate assholes that can’t do the ONE thing that they’re supposed to do, that is - serve! Anyways, we decided not to eat here after the bullshit, just mentioned. We went to the bar and were instantly greeted by a bartender. Drink prices were great, but the beer was, at best, mediocre. Not much to say about the inside because it lacks character. Overall, the beer prices are great, but everything sucks. Honestly, I wouldn’t waste your time. | | lithy (156), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | | November 30, 2009 Had a standard sampler of 6 beers, then they piled on 4 more all for something like 8 dollars. Beer was standard with a few above the norm. Had a pretty good appetizer but everything seemed relatively average. Typical american brewpub. | | JK (163), Uptown, Minneapolis, Minnesota | | July 19, 2009 The beers were mediocre, except the maibock and the raspberry. Service was friendly and the food was good, they have a very large menu and reasonable prices. As far as the quality of the beer this place is ok, but it is good enough for a reasonably priced meal. Try the beer sampler. | | phishpond417 (51), Madison, Wisconsin | | June 25, 2009 Located on Water Street in the downtown area, this place is a lot of fun. They have quite a few beers to sample, many which are a little lighter in body, but very tastey. They have a nice outdoor seating area where you can enjoy the beer. The waitstaff was very helpful and pleasent. Check this place out. | | Magjayran (22), Durham, North Carolina | | May 19, 2009 It’s in a nice building with the expected old world beer stuff. The waitress did her job. Selection was mostly limited to German type stuff with a bock being the most interesting option. Food was sorta mediocre. I don’t know that I’d bother going back. | thejoeshow (7), Saint Paul, Minnesota does not count - explanation | | September 14, 2008 I was in Milwaukee for a business trip and all my fellow coworkers wanted to go to Water Street to find a bar. They found some crappy college/singles bar with $2.00 beer specials and I refused to go in, so I waled down the street to find something else. And I did!
The place was very nice and not over packed at all on a Friday night. The beer selection was very different, not your everyday beer, which was a nice change. I had a few and the prices were nice for a draft craft beer. I was also very impressed what kind of brewing knowledge the staff had. Normally you don’t find too many cute girls serving on a Friday night that no much more than how to open a beer. Made my visit a lot better. I didn’t eat any food so I can’t vouch for that but I can say that the beers were ok at the worst. Nothing I tried was bad. I would definitely go back if stuck on Water Street with all those jerks from work again. | | esjaygee (204), Oak Creek, Wisconsin | | June 15, 2008 Decent looking place with beer tanks greeting you as you walk in the door. Collections of old beer cans and bottle spread throughout the restaurant, neat stuff to look at. Perhaps it might have been better if I were able to sample some of those as their beer was below average and almost all of them felt over carbonated to me. Staff was friendly and I was able to get a nine sampler for $8, so the value was okay. I’ve eaten here in the past, but it was a long time ago but I do remember liking the food. | IPAaLLtHEwAY (5), La Crosse, Wisconsin does not count - explanation | | June 11, 2008 Fairly nice brew pub, awesome can collection. They only serve there own beer, and their beer is ok. Decent service, quite a few hot chicks that work there.
