78 Inner city style store with parking underneath the building. Big, bright and open, nice store. Good food. Six taps with a couple of interesting locals but also some more common national micros. Good bottle selection. Lots of New Glarus, Three Floyds, Surly. Solid single selection, prices good.
UPDATE 7/5/19. Stopped in here after visiting Hacienda next door. The beer selection has moved around and the singles don't look quite as good. However, they've installed a new pub. Seemed bright and open. 20 taps, with a lot of local seasonal selections. I would have sat at the bar but I had just visited Hacienda and there were cops fucking everywhere. Overall, this area of MKE is a nice little beer stop. Old score was 70 (or 3 point fucking 5). That's going up a bit. New score 78. |
64 Not a bad selection for a grocery store, though you probably aren’t going to find many hidden gems here either. One interesting thing they have is a station where you can fill up a growler and they have a couple different selections for that. I’ve talked to the beer guy and he seems somewhat knowledgeable. |
