Been to 8th street a number of times, including two weekends ago. The last couple of times I left with the same impression, disappointed in the beer selection. The problem is they try hard to put on a unique selectn of stuff you won’t find everywhere, however, their choices just aren’t very good. Further, after holding an annual afternoon (read low traffic time for 8th st) gathering with friends there the past few years, they stopped offering us favorable (happy hour) prices and we went elsewhere this year. The place just has this feel like its going to go out of business soon. Under executing in a prime location.

Nice spot to go downtown and happy hour prices were decent ($3.5 - $4 a pint). Around 30 taps with some good stuff like Bells and Surly. Service was prompt and friendly. Would go back for another happy hour.

About the best place for beer selection right downtown Minneapolis (not including the West Bank of the U). Large selection of tap beers, and a few really good ones. Good food, good happy hour specials. Good spot.
