| Travlr (637), Washington, Washington DC | | November 11, 2011 There are two of these places, one at gate F7, and the one I’m rating on the airport "mall." Upscale steak and fish restaurant with tasty small plates and sandwiches. One Surly tap and one can when I was there. Macros dominated the taps, plus a small amount of Belgian bottles. Pricey food. Well above average for an airport bar, would be awesome if they had more Surly choices. | | JK (163), Uptown, Minneapolis, Minnesota | | October 7, 2011 The best food and beer menu in the airport. Not quite as nice as the original, but still a good menu and you can find something good to drink. Food is expensive, beer is more reasonable, for the airport. If you have a long layover, this is the place to go. | | KyotoLefty (286), Kyoto, Japan | | August 31, 2011 An ok place to stop for a couple while in transit. In Aug 11, they had two nice Summit beers, Surley Bender, and a Schell seasonal as beers of interest, $7 for a 14 oz pint. Food was heavy on meat, fried stuff. No small snacks on the menu. Not special compared to stuff on the outside, but decent for an airport bar.
| | Lubiere (349), Ottawa, Ontario | | October 18, 2009 A Summit carrying restaurant in F terminal, it carries 6 of Summit’s beers on tap, alongside a few macros, some decent Belgian bottles ( Chimay, Affligem), some Summit bottles. The settting is quite nice, with chic and friendly waiters. The food is a tad expensive (mainly steaks). I had their chili which was excellent. Nice touch with the free cookie at the end of the meal. | | BDR (61), Roseville, Minnesota | | July 30, 2009 A very nice ambiance (the best in MSP) with a decent food menu. The real reason to add this to the DB is it’s the only place with a decent craft beer selection. On the macro side, Stella, Bud, Bud light, and Guiness. Sam adams, Summit EPA and Hefe round out the average beers. Most importantly, if you’re stuck in MSP waiting for a delayed flight, they have Surly Bender as their last tap line, making this the only respectable place for a beer geek to grab a round (rock bottom’s location is not worth visiting). |
