Lots of the same stuff as the other blue plate restaurants, similar beer and stuff like that. Good but not great.

A blue plate joint and not my favorite. Food is alright. Decent tap selection. However I feel I never get good service here. I always feel like the servers are trying to rush me out.

Longfellow has evolved as a craft beer bar in recent years. Like other blue plate restaurants the list tends to be dominated by hoppy beers, and specific seasonal appropriate choices tend to be absent. It is probably the best option for beer in the vast Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis, as well as for those in Merriam park of Saint Paul.

Very solid place for any meal or happy hour. Great taps about 30 of them I believe. They always have at least one Harriet on tap. The food is awesome as well. I love the steak and pierogies and the pork breakfast burrito. The patio is pretty awesome as well. It can get pretty crazy on the weekends, especially breakfast. Longfellow is one of my go-tos

This is one of my go-to places for breakfast - tremendous food and interesting dishes (the Killer Banana waffles are stupid good). They also have a great tap lineup, and occasionally hold beer events. There is some off-street parking (free), and if thatís full, Iíve never had to park more than a block away on the street. Part of the Blue Plate restaurant group that I have a ton of respect for.

Went there for Stone Release party July 13, 2011. Nice location right off the river, but limited parking onsite (street parking available close by). They had a great selection on tap including Stone, Bellís, and Deschutes. For the event, had additional Stone taps set up outside with a live band. Apparently no one told 2 of the bartenders that I talked with that the Stone Stout was not being served until 9 PM, which sucked for me being there at 5! Pints were $3, so that was a nice consolation though.

There are many things to love about Longfellow Grill urban diner:
Excellent, made from scratch food - including breakfast all day long; wide variety and ever-changing selection of 30 craft beers on tap; great service; great location; great patio.
This is one of the only places with a large selection of beers on tap that I will drink the tap beer. They must keep those lines immaculately clean and the kegs fresh because tap beer here tastes wonderful. They even have glassware other than pints to pour them in. Happy hour is $3 tap beers (!) from 3pm-6pm 7 days/week, and additionally from 9pm-close on Sat.
They are located essentially on the parkway at Lake St for easy recreation. Plus, thereís a Dunn Bros next door for coffee. It doesnít get much better than this.
Downside: can get LOUD on Sunday mornings.
No, I donít work here or own this place, I just love it.
