Why can’t all station/shopping centre bars be like this? Bar on the 4th floor of Mito station, run by the Kiuchi (Hitachino Nest) brewery, presumably to lure in everyone who is coming back after visiting the brewery. A really great place with fairly modern decor with 5 Hitachino Nest beers and 4 other imported craft beers on tap. Also around 35 bottles (8 Hitachino Nest, the rest imported craft). Service is very friendly and a nice relaxed atmosphere. We didn’t want to leave, but had to get the last train. Food was good too, burgers, some Japanese style pub tapas and deserts made with Hitachino Nest beer. Hitachino Nest beers on tap were 630 yen, imported a bit more, so pretty much normal for Japan. Crucially they had stuff here that they didn’t have at the brewery, Well worth a visit, can’t wait to go back.
