July 21, 2005 [ Updated March 25, 2007 ] When I first visited this shop on my way back from Jones Family Farm, the first thing that struck me was how incredibly packed it is in there. Literally every place in the store is filled making navigation through the aisles difficult. Where they lack in ambiance, they make up for in selection. I recently found some Grim Reaper barley wine, Cavedale ale and several bottles of Allagash Odyssey hidden in one of their packed coolers. All of their worthwhile beers are kept in coolers which is nice. It would be nicer if they were in some kind of order, though. Update, the last time I was here, about half of the store’s stock consisted of six packs that are well past their prime. If you’re going to shop here, do so with caution and stay away from anything prone to going bad. |
