| FROTHINGSLOSH (48), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania | | January 29, 2011 Typical atmosphere for this chain - loud, dark and busy. The food is interesting, reasonably priced and filling. The draft list is decent with generally a few higher end beer on it. The staff was farily clueless about the beer. Overall a nice change of place kind of restaurant. | | cheapdark (128), Quiptown & Central Valley, Pennsylvania | | October 9, 2010 Very odd entry, even tho its in a strip mall. Difficult to see from the street, had to seek it out and even ask somebody where it was. Inside its dark like all the rest of the mad mex I’ve been to. Same ambiance with mad mexican things all over. Good tap selection and even after 2000beers I was able to find a beer I haven’t tasted yet. Price is medium high but the free chips and homemade salsa is always welcome. Friendly eye candy service. | | sirpsycho (10), Murrysville, Pennsylvania | | March 3, 2008 Met up with some friends there for a birthday celebration. Great ambiance, very cool and comfortable setting. Food is great, across the board. Beer selection is above average, nice range of beers, something for everyone. They use proper glassware when serving beer, which is always a plus in my book. All in all a great time was had by all. Worth checking out when in Monroeville. | | Nate (246), Indiana, Pennsylvania | | July 3, 2006 Another Mad Mex addition to the Pittsburgh area. This one is on the main drag coming into Monroeville from the Turnpike and Rt. 22. Behind the Starbucks, same plaza as Old Navy. It’s a bit smaller than some of the other Mad Mex’s, but it’s done well and the menu is just as good. Beer selection is just as good as the others, and each place differs (see draft list on their websites). Only macro on draft was Miller Lite, but tonight I got Oskar Blues Gordon, Gouden Carolus Triple, and Lagunitas Censored. Several other goodies on tap and in bottle to be had.
It IS a bit pricy, but ALL drafts are half off during happy hour, 5-7pm M-F. That’s a good deal for what’s available. During the warmer weather, there’s a nice outdoor patio and bar access. A few TV screens are showing sports. This is a nice addition to Monroeville. |
