| Quevillon (169), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec | | May 5, 2011 I visited this store last year (summer 2010), but I did not give any opinion because I thought this store was not on Rate Beer, because I passed beside Épicerie José inc. (another beer store). But after all, they are both on the site and about one minute walk from one and other (which is odd). The front part is typical dépanneur, but the back part is well organized for all beer lovers and for everyday people. The beers are coded by what kind of person would want to drink, from everyday drinkers to beer geeks. A good place for the locals.
| | Rastacouere (581), Montréal, Quebec | | March 20, 2011 Not the largest selection in town, but a beer-geek friendly place with a top 10 selection for Montreal and very conveniently located for me. The prices are among the lowest in Montreal. Shelves are cleanly displayed and they get most of the special offerings and if not in huge quantities, they still tend to have bottles for a bit more time than top Montreal stores like Peluso where novelties rotate very quickly. Nevertheless, I rarely come across bottles past their prime at Au Coin Duluth and with its central location, it’s the beer store I go to most often these days. | | DerWeg (27), Toronto, Ontario | | January 19, 2011 A friendly little Depanneur that sometimes has rare treasures or just great new beers that are nice to get hold of. Prices are not always that low but that’s on par for trendy Montreal. Seems well-run and polite, and for just a little Dep they pit a good effort into the beer. Clean nice-looking little shop and seems to take good care of the stock. Great location as well. An overlooked treasure - consider supporting this place as well as Peluso so it can grow. | | bp (56), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | November 24, 2010 Stopped in here after having a couple beers at Reservoir down the street. It’s a small little space with a cooler of macros and then about four coolers of micros and some warm bottles as well. Tons of Dieu du Ciel, Charlevoix, Unibroue, and Les Trois Mousquetaires. You can get a good number of Canadian Top 50 beers here. I didn’t think the prices were bad either - at least not compared to Philly singles! Worth a stop if you are in the area. | PaWa (1), does not count - explanation | | May 14, 2010 A mon avis, le meilleur endroit sur le plateau et au centre ville pour de la bonne bière a bon prix!
In my opinion, the best place downtown Mtl to get good beer at good price,
They have a pretty decent selection of craft beer from all around quebec,
And their selection is quite improving with time,!
If you travel in montreal, and are located in downtown/plateau area be shure to hit that place for your beer needs...
And go have a picnic in "Parc Lafontaine" just beside...
Wonderfull times ahead!
| strowlands8 (3), Ontario does not count - explanation | | November 30, 2009 Pretty solid selection of Quebec beers, unfortunately not the greatest price. Pretty conveniently located. The guy running the store when I was there was pretty sweet, wasn’t too talkative about the beers, but gave us some free cookies. Pretty good place if you can’t get out to any of the other ones. |
