68 Small bar space and a nice looking patio. The bartenders were friendly and quick. Plenty of taps, with some nice seasonals and specials. Good prices, too. Fun spot. |
84 When I pulled into the parking lot, I thought this place was going to be massive. It’s a little deceiving. There is still ample space on the inside and a spacious deck outside to boot. The beer selection is pretty safe, but covers a respectable array of styles. I had the pale ale and it was well executed. During my 4;00 visit this place was absolutely packed, but I had no problem ordering a beer. The convenient location to I-25 makes this place a great pit stop. |

80 Grand opening of "The Barrel Room" was 24 Oct 2012. Extends seating area and adds sale of barrel aged beers to the existing taps. So the selection ratings prior will now be improved on. Staff could not be friendlier. While it close to I-25 it has all the feel of neighborhood bar. |
82 My in-laws brought my wife and I here a few days after having a growler of their Brits Are Back Mild waiting for us when we got to Colorado to visit.
We went only for evening drinks, and I got the 8-beer flight, allowing me to try all their beers currently on tap. I enjoyed nearly all of them, and the price for the flight was quite good considering how much beer I got (very generous taster pours).
They had live music inside, but we were outside on their large patio. We could hear the music, but still hold conversation at a pleasant volume. I was also happy to see that they at least allowed families with children on the patio as well (not sure about inside for the kids?).
The staff was very friendly and quite attentive to us outside. I would highly recommend a visit!
The only downside was that we went back for a growler fill the next day and they had run out of a number of beers we had been enjoying the previous evening. |
72 Kind of what you would expect from many of the newer, "neighborhood" microbreweries. Very nice people running the place that always has a bunch of hardcore local fans. Decent products but nothing too outstanding. Right off the interstate near Colorado Springs, so if you’re driving to CS on a beer tour, I’d drop by here for a few ticks. |
50 uninspiring location off a freeway exit and between the back of a strip mall and church, I think. fairly typical beer selection with a mild that was too high in alcohol, an amber ale that was one of the worst imperial reds I’ve ever had, and one of the most disgusting renditions of what they have the nerve to call a Belgian Golden Ale. and next up on the chalkboard: "Belgium IPA". I thought the days of these types of awful random "microbrew places" making glorified amateur homebrew were over. |
84 Good selection of very good beers. All of the beer I have tried have not disappointed and true to the style. Thumbs up! |
80 Nice comfortable well lit bar. Very fast freindly service. 5 of their beers on tap and 4 guest beers. Limited food but reasonably priced. Should get even better after they’re open for awile. |
78 It is nice to see a brewery offering solid beers during their opening week and not running out. There were 5 house taps and 4 guest taps. There is a small food menu, and what I saw others ordering looked good; the prices are very reasonable. The service is superb. The place is nicely decorated, not too pretentious, not too simple. The outdoor area offers respite from the somewhat noisy interior. |
